Quality Education Comprehensively issued by the state council, quality educatAccording to The Decision on How to deepen Education Reform and Promote ion schould be carried out throughout all kinds schools at different levels such as the preschool education, primary school and secondary school education, vocational education, adult education, higher education and so on, and throughout all aspects such as school education, family education and social education. The details and key points of quality education should be different at different levels and aspects while keeping consistent at all levels and aspects. Also they should embody the different characters in different regions, especially in the minority nationality regions. On the basis of the Decision, borrowing the experience and theories of PE education in other minority nationality regions, this paper makes an analysis of current situation of the Mongolian traditional sports conducted in the secondary schools for the Mongolian students in the central and western Inner Mongoliag autonomous region.Applying the literature matorial law, interview method, questionnaire method and statisties, the paper studies the typical sports conducted in8secondary schools for Mongolian students in central and western Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Based on the survey of the management system, teaching, training, oquipment and teachers, the paper makes further study of the reform in Mongolian traditional sports in the secondary schools for Mongolian students in the central and western regions in order to rind some more effective models for PE education in the region and offer more first-hand material for the local government to make wise decision on the development of the Mongolian traditional sports. The conclusions are as follows: T. The development of the Mongolian traditional sports in the centrail and western Inner Mongolia autonomous region is worrisome. Only two schools are conducting a few while the others are conductiong almost none: This should be paid more attention by the local governmetn.2. Of all the teaching models of PE education in secondary schools for Mongolian students in Baotou, the model of Sunny Playtime Break is more suitable for the Mongolian traditional sports to be conducted and spread. The superior departments, the schools leaders and the PE teachers plyay very decisive role in the course of Mongolian traditional sports at the new age when Mongolian traditional sports are included in the sclool PE course. However, it is difficult to offer the course because of the PE teacher' s lack of the knowledge of Mongolian taditional sports and the school leaders' concerns about the expenses, site and safety in additon to neglect of the importance of the Mngolian traditional sports.4. The course of the Mongolian traditional sports should be evaluated by the special rules and evaluating models of the Mongolian traditional sports.
