Course comparison, especially with the developed countries of comparative research work as well as the important foundation of the curriculum reform, textbook is an important content of courses is. Previous textbooks of our country and developed countries is mostly concentrated in Europe and the United States, and in view of the China and South Korea comparative study of geography textbook (social) still very little. Nearly half a century, Korea comply with the international trend of curriculum reform at the same time, combined with their own reality, in the national basic education course reform and the practice, the textbook development have also made remarkable achievements, formed their own characteristics. Based on geography textbook (social) comparison of the two countries, in order to specify the length of both parties, reach the goal of learn from each other.Geography curriculum theory, theory of comparative education, this paper, using comparison method, literature research, statistical analysis and other research methods, with China and South Korea two countries on the basis of the most representative textbooks published recently, from the textbook content and surface structure system (text, image system, homework system) system in China and South Korea to systematically compare the junior high school geography, the following conclusions and Suggestions.1. Conclusion:1) from the textbook framework structure, both sides textbooks basic structure similar, the difference displays in:south Korean textbook in each section of the capital introduction, puts forward relevant learning objectives have end of each unit cell sorting, students can consolidate this section content; Korean textbook in columns, columns are mostly active program and related material of world hot issues, this is also reflected in South Korea pay attention to cultivate students’ autonomous learning ability, emphasis on practical knowledge and pay attention to let the students care about world affairs.2) on the macroscopic comparison, Chinese junior middle school geography textbooks with the earth and maps, world geography, geography and local geographical lines to arrange in China. And Korean textbooks to problems in everyday life as much as possible, and the hot issues of the world’s attention as the main line to arrange.3) on microcosmic comparison, our junior middle school geography textbooks pep section is composed of "import-an" form; South Korea Venus club junior middle school textbook chapters society by "import--finishing" form. South Korea activities in the textbook openness is stronger, is advantageous to the student’s personality development, have affinity more language to express. Because China is under the influence of exam-oriented education, the number of activities more than South Korea. Graphic combination is the most prominent feature of Chinese textbooks activities in China with graphic method to cultivate students to read textbooks activity diagram, figure, organize the answer of geography learning ability, especially the images in the geographical textbooks can visual representation of geographic information, and cultivate students’interest in learning geography.2. Suggestion:By comparing to the junior middle school geography textbooks of the two countries, to the Chinese textbook writers put forward the following Suggestions:First, pay attention to the choice of environmental education material.Second, pay attention to the content choice and social practical links, practicability of textbooks.Third, pay attention to the actual import from life and design of typical cases, theory with practice. Fourth, pay attention to the synthesis of natural geography and human geography, regional geography geography and system integration.Fifth, pay attention to the teaching to set aside a certain space, reflect teaching sex at the same time pay attention to guide students to observe, think, imagine, embody suggestive.
