The Chinese nation has a long history and brilliant culture, which not onlycontribute to the progress of the whole human civilization, but also lead to thecreation of a wide variety of traditional national sports based on people of all ethnicgroups. As the Traditional Chinese National Sport records, the number of traditionalnational sports that have been discovered so far is977, among which301belong toHan, and the other676belong to minority groups. Strongly struck by western sportsculture especially the Olympic culture, many traditional national sports are much lesspopular than before, some of which are even totally neglected. The reason is not thattraditional national sports lack interestingness, but that people’s sports concepts aswell as requirements and expectations for sports have changed. However, thedevelopment of traditional Chinese national sports has not fully adapted to the change.In the development process of national traditional sports in China, the author of thispaper is the brand in the international market impact is small, positioning, lack ofeffective brand strategy planning, advertising the effect not beautiful, pompous claimsits marketing strategy of a single, international operation management talent shortage,etc many problems remaining to be solved. This article through the literature materialmethod, comparative analysis, expert consultation and so on to traditional sportsbrand building as the breakthrough point and the combination with the idea of thebrand independent innovation put forward national traditional sports innovation,national traditional sports entertainment and leisure, national traditional sports tourisminnovation, national traditional sports, traditional sports education innovation, etc. Inorder to explore the development direction of national traditional sports in China.
