Teacher feedback in the classroom is an important medium for interaction between teachers and students, which plays an important role in the process of English learning. According to the teaching theory "student-centered", teacher feedback in the classroom becomes the main link in many interaction activities. Effective feedback in the class can not only promote students’ language input and stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm and initiative, but also improve students’ language ability of language output.In this study, according to the classroom observation、recording and analysis of teacher feedback, I learn that the situation of teacher’s classroom feedback in senior middle school. Then through the student questionnaire results and interviews with teachers, I analyze the basic types and characteristics of the teacher feedback and know the different attitudes of teachers and students in classroom feedback. Based scaffold theory we find the problems in teacher feedback and give some suggestions. Through describing the use of the evaluative feedback and discourse feedback in senior school and their scaffold, looking at the problems and deficiencies in facilitating interaction and communication between teachers and students, I put forward to my ideas about the form of class feedback and the improvement of content. From the findings, it is shown that teacher often attach importance to the use of the feedback and they use different forms. I also find evaluative feedback and discourse feedback promoting the classroom interaction. At the same time, positive teachers’ feedback in class can also help the teachers and students interaction. They have a different attitude to the feedback. The author thinks that teachers should be change their traditional understanding of classroom feedback according to the different needs of students, they should have more positive attitude, more targeted feedback strategies and richer content, only in this way can they promote the better interaction between the teacher and students in high school English classroom.
