As the base for training personnel, the teaching quality is the basic and fundamental totheir own survival and development, a concentrated expression of the universities teachingstandards and competitiveness, and a fundamental guarantee of promoting the social progressand improving the competitiveness of the country. How to improve the quality of teaching isthe core problem in the teaching activities. Many scholars have done a lot of research on howto improve the quality of college teaching. But most studies have focused on how to improvethe level of teaching, and how to perfect the system and so on, but ignored a variety ofsubjective and objective influencing factors in the process of teaching and learning activities,which affect the quality of teaching is good or bad. Based on the study of existing literatureand theoretical analysis, this article investigates the positive or negative externalities of thefactors which influence the quality of teaching and their impacts. Taking into account thecharacteristics of the local colleges, Jiangxi Agricultural University is selected as case forstudying the influencing factors of teaching quality for the local colleges, and analyzing theprincipal component. Then put forward to countermeasures and suggestions so as to be thevalue of the overall improvement of the quality of teaching in local colleges.Specifically, the main content of this paper are:Firstly, Guided by the externality theory, we can combine influencing factors of theproducers of externalities and the quality of teaching so as to explore the teaching activitiesin the relevant subject specific motivation, behavior and psychological factors which mayhave a positive or negative externalitiesSecondly, through the questionnaire survey, we did a field research on the influencingfactors of the teaching quality in Jiangxi Agricultural University and select the influencefactors of teachers using principal component analysis for further empiricalresearch..According to the influencing factors of the quality of teaching, we buildthree secondary indicators and twenty-seven third indicators. Based on the conversion of theimportance of values, the principal component analysis with SPSS software, end up with sixprincipal components, respectively is: the teaching system of principal components, principalcomponent of teachers’ quality, teaching organization main composition, teacher’s teachingattitude, main composition, arrangement of teaching principal component, teachers incentiveprincipal component. The six principal components of the cumulative contribution rate of96.078%.Thirdly, On the basis of empirical research, we put forward relevant countermeasures to enhance the teaching quality of the local colleges which include the arrangement of teacher s’teaching activities, the construction of the teachers’ quality, the level of classroommanagement, the improving of the enthusiasm of students, the improving of the teachingmanagement level.
