With the requirements of rejuvenating the country through science and talents, vocational education is increasingly obvious role in promoting regional economic development, Which has become the most closely part to the economic development of the education system. In today’s society, Today, with the economy developing rapidly and the continuous improvement of the economic system and economic structure, the original vocational education mode has been unable to meet the needs of economic development, which requires us to be based on the status of economic development, to further improve the existing vocational education mode.After the reform and opening up, Yunnan Province has rapid development in economic, but compared with the economically developed areas, there is still a wide gap. To speed up local economic and social development, one of the keys is to develop vocational education, cultivate a large number of high-quality, plication-oriented and skilled senior personnel to adapt to regional economic development and industrial development needs, strengthen the building of human resources, promote the Yunnan regional economic development.This paper is to sum up the experience of domestic and foreign regional economic coordinated development of education, analysis the relationship between education and the economy, and study foreign advanced vocational education the successful model, in order to learn from experience as Yunnan future development of vocational education mode.This paper is divided into six chapters, has elaborated the theory and basic concepts of vocational education, and the relationship between vocational education and human resources and its regional economic development, and made a comparative analysis on the development of vocational education at home and abroad mode; Combining with the actual situation of Yunnan Province, analyzes the present situation of regional economic development and vocational education in Yunnan Province, and using the existing measured data statistical analysis, the relationship between education and economy in Yunnan Province to do the empirical research, and gets education’s contribution to the economy; Through empirical analysis, based on this, advances some existing problems on the traditional vocational education mode and regional economic development in Yunnan Province, as well as the main reason for these problems and countermeasures. Analysis and proposed adaptation model development occupation education in Yunnan Province special regional economy and industrial structure development, and made empirical occupation education successful case in Yunnan Province. Due to the limitation of my level and professional, involving some related problem has not been fully resolved, but for these problems made a summary and outlook, hope in the future study, can get the guidance of the experts for a more in-depth study, constantly improve their own research level and ability.This paper adhere to the scientific outlook on development as guidance, according to the characteristics of the economic development of Yunnan Province, the development mode of occupation education for the economic development of Yunnan Province, hoping to make some theoretical basis for the economy of Yunnan Province and education policy, also do my pygmy effort for Yunnan’s economic and educational development.
