A Study On The Strategy Of Social Work Intervening In The Recovery Process Of The Orphans And Disabled Children

Orphans and disabled children, as a part of social vulnerable groups, are an important object of our country social welfare and social assistance. The development of rehabilitation work of the children not only conforms to the requirement of national policy, but also conforms to the healthy growth of children.The paper takes the children’s Welfare Institute of F city as the research platform, combined with the research status at home and abroad to analysis the needs of the orphans and disabled children’rehabilitation, the status of personnel who engaged in rehabilitation work and the problems that existed in the welfare home with the method of questionnaire survey, unstructured interviews, observation and literature method and so on. The author introduces the necessity and possibility that social workers step in rehabilitation of the orphans and disabled children in the children’s Welfare Institute. put forward methods to enhance the quality of life and work, to improve the living environment for the children and staffs through the analysis of the responsibilities and work content of social workers.In this paper, the author clarifies the object of service and duties, expounds the intervention strategy of social work in the rehabilitation work, Including:carry out the social work training activities; coordinate the rehabilitation team operation, intervene in the rehabilitation training; to help the orphans and disabled children in the integration of resources; Volunteer management; administrative work and research of social work; the Intervention of professional social work. On the basis of the development of social work in the children’s welfare institute, the author puts forward countermeasures and suggestions in four aspects:first, Establish and improve a scientific management system and operational mechanism, strengthen the contact; second, advocating the scientific service concept and method to create a good service environment for social work; third, optimize the structure of the rehabilitation work team; four, establish the management system and assessment mechanism of social work; improve the social workers social status, improve and perfect the salary welfare system. The author hopes to promote the development of social work, service for disabled children better and promote the development of rehabilitation.
