With the rapid development of society and internet, microblog has been widely used andconcerned and gradually become an indispensable part of people’s live, study and work.Teenagers, especially college students, are the major force of microblog-use population; and,microblog also provides a main place for them to disseminate information, exchange ideas,diving into details of society and entertainment. As a result, this certain media brings a seriesof deep effects which cannot be neglected on the carrier, content, method, subject, object ofideological political education, and it has brought great opportunities and challenges too.Therefore, it is a pressing task to research and investigate how to carry out the colleges’ideological and political practice in the visual threshold of microblog. This thesis starts withthe definition, characteristic, function and the trend of development of microblog, and thendeeply analyzes and discusses the opportunities and challenges it brings. Thus giving advisesto the government, colleges and individual and strengthens and improves the progress of thecolleges’ ideological and political practice.Basing on this framework, the first half of paper focus on the theoretical explanation, itstarts with the topic selection background and the domestic and abroad research status. Firstof all, the thesis give a particular overview of the microblog in the perspective of thedefinition, development course and trend, characteristics, functions, and attraction to thecolleges students. Then I will give some examples to analyze the typical cases about theopportunities and challenges that the microblog brings to the colleges students themselves andthe educational work of the colleges’ ideological and political practice. The thesis point outthat on the one hand, the microblog can be the media which spread the positive power, thecommunication platform between teachers and students, a window of s the college students’social interaction and the tool of releasing pressure and at the same time, the microblogdisorder the normal work and rest time of the college students, distort their values and lead tothe misconduct of them. On the other hand, the microblog expand the space of the colleges’ ideological and political practice, enrich the content, improve the method, low the cost andincrease efficiency and In the meantime, it makes challenges for the work of the ideologicaland political practice on the authority, content, method, carrier and qualities of educators.The latter part of the paper focus on analyzes strategy of feasible solutions on thechallenges that the colleges’ ideological and political practice faced. Under the new situation,strengthens and improves the progress of the colleges’ ideological and political practice mustform the situation that the government emphasis on the full supervision and control, collegesstrengthen the education guidance and the students need to be consciousness andself-discipline and so on. Firstly, we should strengthen the institutional construction, mediaguidance and legal scrutiny of the microblog on the level of the government supervision.Secondly, we need to establish the new idea about the colleges’ ideological and politicalpractice and strengthen the carrier construction and thus construct some up-down models like“the link of microblog” on the level of colleges’ education. Thirdly, for the undergraduates,we should improve the consciousness of moral; develop their media literacy and increasingcapacity on the respect of antipollution. In a short, this thesis want to further promote theharmonious development of the contemporary colleges’ ideological and political practice bythese explorations of analyzes strategy of feasible solutions.
