Colleges are key places to study and apply the Marxism, assume the solemn mission of arming university students with the Chinese characteristic socialism theory system, and prepare the qualified and devoted successors for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. To conduct a systematic and solid ideological and political education can not only promote the healthy maturation of the undergraduates, but also sinicization of Marxism, and its popularization. Art College, as an indispensible part of the system of higher education, takes the responsibility of art educating on the one hand, and cultivating new youths who cater to the construction of the socialist culture on the other.The institutions of higher education continuously increase the enrollment in recent years, and the colleges tend to expand its construction on a large scale. Against this background, art colleges also manage to increase the enrollment. Huge entrance pressure makes an increasing amount of students choose to enter the art colleges, which ask for more art specialties and relatively less scores in the required subjects. The phenomenon mentioned above challenges the management of the art colleges, and proposes the new task for the ideological and political education, asking them to increase the effectiveness of the ideological politics education.The status of ideological and political education in Art College stays in low level.The quality of Ideological and political theory course is poor, Campus cultural activities of college students is less attractive. Based on the analysis of the current situation Ideological and political education in Art College, tries to find out the reasons of low effectiveness of Art College Students’ Ideological and Political Education. The key point of this thesis is contributing index system of assessing the effectiveness of Ideological and political education of Art College Students. And the thesis aims to solve the problems existing in the theological and political education as a whole.
