Research On The Value And Application Of Red Culture In Personality Education Of Contemporary College Students

With the deepening of reform and the constant improvement of the market economysystem, the process of socialist modernization is gradually advancing. As an important partof the modernization of society, modernization of people is the key to social modernization,people should always keep up with the pace of social modernization, so that to fully realizetheir free and comprehensive development, complete their modernization. Because of theimplementation of the scientific concept of development, the establishment of“People-oriented”, we become increasingly aware of that as a people, not only is thesubject of modernization, and its purpose. Therefore, facing with the changes of socialreality, we must strive to build personality which adapts to the great changes. Collegestudents are the main force of the future, their personality has a direct relationship with thefuture of community. At present, the diversification of values, the complication of thepattern of interests, the varies of social environment, makes our college students confused.Their personality status has a wide gap with the social expectations. So, the personalityeducation of college students can not be ignored.Culture is personified, changing the world and people themselves toward the human’ssignificance, ideal, culture can lead the fashion, educate the people and shape thepersonality. Now, to explore resources, find new carriers is a top priority in personalityeducation process. As a typical representative of the advanced socialist culture, the redculture is a rare educational resource. Making full use of red culture this new carrier as asupport is particularly important to shape the personality of college students.On the basis of the analysis of personality, personality education, combining thecurrent personality situation of contemporary college students and college personalityeducational status, I proposed that personality education is necessary, and then, I analyzedthe importance of personality education from three levels including the society, college,college students themselves. Integrating the red culture into the educational process ofpersonality can give full play to the educational value of the red culture in ideology, spirit, emotion, soul, behavior and other aspects. Using red culture to educate college studentsshould follow some basic principles, such as the combination of the history and reality, thecombination of the theory and practice, the combination of the direction and effectiveness.At last, I analyzed the practical application of red culture in the students’ personalityeducation from many aspects such as the innovation of theory, the expansion of means,environmental optimization, opening channels, improving the mechanism, and so on, use avariety of measures to perfect the system of personality education for college students.
