In recent years, China’s high school history set off a wave of reform, the majorityof the historians explores and discusses the preparation of history teaching materials,curriculum development and teaching methods actively, and made a lot ofachievements. But there is a gap between the history teaching materials, the teachingof history and new theory of history research, new research achievements ofhistorians also did not show in the history textbooks. The author is trying to usecomparative analysis and the method of universal connection to reveal a view ofhistory in high school history textbook, and clarify its position and role in the historytextbooks and reality.The introduction mainly presents the concept of view of history,briefly discussesthe history of the materialist and conception of history civilization,and thenelaborated topics in this article in accordance with the academic value and practicalsignificance.The body is divided into three main parts:Part I: A brief introduction of a view of history in the old and the new highschool history textbooks, to investigate the value, the function as well as the existenceof the problems of view of history in high school history textbook.Part II: Compare the new version of the high school history textbook of historicalmaterialism and civilization history, and by the example of the content in Chinesehistory and world history in high school history textbook in history, through analysisand comparison, elaborate the main view of history in new version of high schoolhistory textbooks.Part III: A brief evaluation of the historical materialism and civilization history inhigh school history textbooks, and discuss the relationship between the teachingmaterials in the historical data and history, as well as the role of teacher quality andthe formation of students’ view of history.Conclusion concludes the status and role of the historical materialism andcivilization history in history textbooks on the basis of summary the paper.
