At the end of20th, with the development of science and technology, informationtechnology which represents computers and Internet has made a great development. Itnot only promotes the great change of production method, life style andcommunication method in the world, but also brings the revolution of education. Withthe informatization of education to promote the modernization of education has beenthe major measures in the development of educations of the world. With the quickdevelopment of education reform and continuous innovation of teaching mode andteaching method, the form of education activities has also been increasingly rich.Blended teaching is to integrate the traditional teaching method of face to face in theclass with the method of E-learning,which not only brings advantages of traditionalclass learning but also effectively meet the satisfactions of autonomous learning andcollaborative learning of students with the help of E-learning. It is a learning methodwhich can achieve complementary advantages. It is very important for this learningmodel to guide the high school geography teaching.This research tries to lead the basic ideas of blended teaching method and basicideas of information teaching into high school geography teaching. According to thecharacteristics of high school geography curriculum, the blended teaching mode andthe high school geography teaching can be effectively combined,which optimizeseries of teaching in the ifeld of teaching instructional design,media selection,implementation of teaching and teaching evaluation. Moreover, blended learningcases are designed in high school geography curriculum. The cases have been applyedand effectively evaluated which comes a conclusion that the blended teaching modemeets the requirements of combination of high school geography teaching andinformation technology. It has important signiifcance to realize information ofgeography teaching.
