With the globalization of world economy, it is extremely urgent to cultivate creative talents with international vision and good geographic literacy. Geography teaching plan bears the responsibility of cultivating high-quality talents as a subject introducing natural environment, human environment and relationship between human and environment. Successful geography teaching is based on successful geography teaching plan. Current situation of Chinese geography teaching is not optimistic, while the flipped classroom from American subverts the previous teaching model and achieves better teaching performance. Research on the flipped classroom is a new teaching model research. Educational researchers introduce the explanation of the operational procedures and the trend of the flipped classroom to the front line teachers, is helpful for broadening the horizons of teachers, as well as learning about the development of world education. Under the flipped classroom teaching model, senior high school geography teaching plan is based on humanistic theory and constructivism theory, fully embodying the new curriculum idea, which is the student-centered and the development for every student.. Therefore, the study of this paper has a great research value for promoting geography teaching efficiency in senior high schools.After looking up relevant researches on the flipped classroom, the author of this paper states the current situation of the flipped classroom teaching plan home and abroad, and elaborate the definition of it. Under the guidance of geography teaching theory, system theory, teaching theory and communication theory, and combing recent rising flipped classroom. The author of this paper presents a detained teaching plan under the flipped classroom, which is the main part of this paper, and draws several relevant conclusions by comparing between the flipped classroom teaching plan and Chinese tradition teaching plan.(1) From the perspective of structure, teaching plan of the flipped classroom is more complex, which is capable of making timely detection of students’ learning. From the perspective of design conception, teaching plan of the flipped classroom starts from students’ learning, which reflects the idea of the new curriculum ideas better and stimulates students’ interest in learning.(2) From the perspective of the roles of teachers, teachers become the promoters of the students’ learning instead of the orders or commanders, and the students become the center of the classroom. In the flipped classroom geography learning, teachers take a great part in helping students, and try their best to create situations to help students construct knowledge.(3) From the perspective students’ involvement, the involvement of students in the classroom improves greatly before the class as well as in the process of the class. Before class, students learn independently under a relaxing atmosphere. In the process of learning, students work in small groups to participate in the cooperative inquiry, learn to think and learn innovative in the process of exploring issues. Students turn from passive learners to the builders of the knowledge(4) From the perspective of the time of teaching and learning, the teaching plan under the flipped classroom puts absorption time of knowledge before the class, so that the time of students exploring questions in the class becomes longer. Besides, teachers are able to focus their attention on few students, which offers the chance of caring for every student.(5) From the perspective of teaching efficiency, the atmosphere of the class is more active in the flipped classroom than in traditional class. What is more, students’ scores are better than that of traditional class.Finally, the author of this paper makes conclusion and points out that the flipped classroom is not overthrowing the traditional teaching theory, but changing views of teachers, students and classroom. In the process of teaching activities, students become the subjects of the classroom. By careful arrangement of teaching environment, and proper arrangement of teaching activities, teachers make full use of techniques and make them become more human. By using the flipped classroom teaching model, it is also helpful for strengthening interaction of the classroom, promoting the communication among students and improving ability of students’ innovation.The innovation of this paper lies in elaborating the procedure of teaching plan in the flipped classroom teaching model, as well as presenting the detailed geography teaching plan under the flipped classroom.
