The middle-school student is being at the individual growth stage. The middle-school students grow in the physiological growth, the self-cognition and the socialized three aspects.with the age unceasingly maturely, the stage tends to become stable development. It’s also a critical period of adjustment of exploring the outside world, feedback. When the life event comes across, all of the students hoped to find the appropriate way to solve the question, so they need learn good coping styles. Not only good coping styles could be able to solve the problems better, but also it can promote the psychological health. Therefore, coping style is important to the junior school student for their socialization process. The individual’s coping style should come out by his emotion, behavior and so on. and the junior school students mainly cope with his companions. When students face the life events, their companions will judge them by their direct-reacts and the concomitance behaviors. Otherwise, if the companion relationship is bad it will cause the bad coping styles. To start from this situation, the research try to find whether coping styles will forecast the effects of companionships between the coping styles and companionships. Besides, some correlation research suggests that different coping styles lead to different effects. At the base of these researches, this article will expand the range of subjects, discuss the relationships between the coping styles and companionships, and give some suggestions.The research carries on the questionnaire named "The scale of ways of coping in middle school students" and "The rate scale between Grades", The research surveies669junior students,explores the situation and the relationships between coping styles and companionships. And the findings as following:1. From high to low, the scores order of junior students’ coping styles is seeking for support; problem solving, reasonable explanation, patience, fantasy deny, venting emotions, and escape. There is a significant difference on junior students’ coping styles at demographic level.2. As a whole, the scores of junior school students are higher than4. this indicates that the junior school students’companionships are well. There aren’t significant differences at the level of sex, whether the only child, living environment and whether a class leader on companionships. At the level of grade, the grade is higher, the companionships are better, and there are significance differences on these two factors.3. The way of coping of middle school student is related to peer relationship.The average score of the problem-pointing coping styles and the factors of problem solving seeking supports, reasonable interpretation are significantly related to those of peer relationship. The factor of escape is negatively correlated with the peer relationship.4. The coping style in problem solving can forecast the companionships very well. More uses the problem solving to cope with life events to the student, the companionships is better.5. From cognitive, emotional and behavioural coping discussion on countermeasures and further elaboration of group activities to improve coping style of middle school students.
