Research Of Hui’s Color Preference In Difference Scenes

The Color, different researchers have different interpretations. Psychologists believe that color preferences are depends on personality of the person. The artists make art through color, to express their views on life. Mr. Bai Gengsheng, speaking as a folklorist:"Color is a cultural";"it rooted in the people’s life and spiritual beliefs, it is not only a part of the culture, but also a special form of expressive of culture, it sustains the existence and unity of the society, which restricts people’s thinking and behavior". The color always with our lives and spirits, just likes air, but we ignore it, ignore the impact of color cultural. This article makes a systematical study on preferences of "Hui nationality" from the perspective of ethnology and the way they using color in different scenes through field research and literature collection. The scenes that involved in this article includes: mosque, gubbah, houses, costumes, ceremonies, and the landscape of the human consciousness that highlighted the "Hui" cultural. The last part which is also main focus of the article, thinking the "3W1H"(Whether, What, Why and How) of Hui’s color preferences, finally, discussion the view of color of Islamic and Han’s influence on Hui’s color preferences. The purpose of this article is to discover research and explore the Hui’s color preferences, eventually, form a relatively completed research system about Hui’s color preferences.
