Tanbi culture is a new subculture introduced from Japan. This kind of subculture takes tongrennv members as the subject, and the love of men as the main content. It has many different forms, such as the comic, animation, fiction, drama and so on. At present, tanbi culture is popular among post-80, and post-90generation, and its influence is expanding with the development of network and information technology. In order to get the real description of tanbi culture and lesbian groups in the social scene and also expect to see a wider cultural field and the characteristics of modern people, this paper will take the tongrennv group as the main research object, and anthropology as the perspective.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter mainly has three aspects. Firstly, an overview of the research origin; Second, research on related topics are briefly review of research from the aspects of popular culture, aesthetic, feminist anthropology, identity etc. to provides the theory support; Third, briefly introduction of the research methods. The fieldwork have still used participant observation and interviews as the main research methods, but because tanbi culture and the tongrennv members mostly treat the network world as their main field of activity, so I will do some adjustment to according to the characteristics. Taking the network, as the breakthrough point, and then make further collection of case data, and finally the in-depth interview.The second chapter is a general description of the currently active mainland tanbi culture and tongrennv group. Firstly, I will briefly introduce the origin of tongrennv group, and summarizes the characteristics of Chinese tongrennv group according to the literatures and the survey fieldwork data. Secondly, to combine the internal classification of tongrennv group according to the specific form of tanbi culture, and explain the relationship between each branch group through field materials. Finally, to display daily group activities of lesbian by using cases, which will reflects the life of tanbi culture.The third chapter mainly discusses the relationship between the tongrennv members and the mass culture, and the gay community, and also reflects the exchanges and conflicts between tanbi culture and other cultures by specific cases. The fourth chapter takes the tongrennv group identity as the main object, including their identity to tanbi culture and their own identity. The field survey data shows lesbian’s identity of tanbi culture mainly from the love of aesthetic style as well as the disidentification to the traditional concept of love and gender concept, while the tongrennv group identity comes from the common hobbies and difference existed among other cultural groups.The fifth chapter summarizes the commonness and individuality of tongrennv group based on above discussion, and explains the tanbi culture and the tongrennv group’s true face from different angles. In addition, this paper also discusses the thinking of modern society caused by tanbi culture, and the inspiration of the tongrennv group on the study of modern community.
