The aim of this study is to verify a variety of factors of the general aggression model on the middle school student violence by questionnaire. It can provide references for the family, school, social and education sectors to develop effective prevention and intervention measures in order to reduce the high school student violence in quantity.The stratified cluster sampling method was used to select314high school students for investigation. The study tools included general demographic information, middle school students’violence questionnaire, values questionnaire, self-esteem scale, and violent attitude. Dates were analyzed using SPSS11.5.The results of the study:1. Boys implemented more very serious violence than girls; Girls victimized more self-abusive behavior than boys; Girls witnessed more rights abuse, self-abusive behavior and suicidal ideation than boys.2. Junior high school students enforced more rights violations, attacking others and suicidal ideation than high school students; Junior high school students victimized more insulting, sexual harassment, rights violations and self-abusive behavior than high school students; Junior high school students witnessed more insulting, sexual harassment, rights violations and physical violence behavior than high school students.3. The group of middle school students whose parents’marital instability enforced attacking others, self-abusive behavior and suicidal ideation more than the stable parents’marital group; Unstable group witnessed more attacking others, self-abusive behavior than the stable group.4. The laissez-faire group and authoritarian group acted more insulting, relational aggression, sexual harassment and attacking others than the democratic group; The laissez-faire group and authoritarian group suffered more insulting, relational aggression, sexual harassment, attack others, self-abusive behavior than the democratic group; The laissez-faire group and authoritarian group witnessed more psychological and physical violence than the democratic group.5. High school students who were the only child acted more self-abusive, suffered more rights violations and witnessed more relational aggression, sexual harassment, rights violations and physical violence than the high school students who were the non-only child in their family.6. The practical values’high school students acted, suffered and witnessed less psychology violence than the herd, utilitarian and indifference values’high school students.7. The high school students of low self-esteem level acted, suffered and witnessed more violence than the high school students of the high self-esteem level and the middle self-esteem level.8. Regression analysis manifested that the lower grades, parents’marital instability and utilitarian values are the high school students’risk factors who implement the psychological violence; junior high school grades, parents marital instability and low self-esteem level are the high school students’risk factors who implemented the physical violence. The low self-esteem level, junior grade, parents authoritarian educational methods and utilitarian values are high school students’risk factors who suffered the psychological violence; The low self-esteem level and gender are related to the high school students who suffered the physical violence, and the lower level of self-esteem, the more vulnerable to suffer the physical violence; Boys are more vulnerable to act physical violence than girls. The junior high school grades, authoritarian educational methods and low self-esteem level are the high school students’ risk factors who witnessed the psychological violence, and practical values are high school students’protective factors who witnessed psychological violence; The one-child is the risk factor of the high school students who witnessed the physical violence, and the democratic education is the protective factor of the high school students who witnessed the physical violence.The conclusions of the study:1. Boys implemented more physical violence and girls suffered more physical violence and witnessed more violence; Junior high school students implemented, victimized and witnessed more violence than high school students; Parents’marital instability group suffered and witnessed more violence than the stable group; The laissez-faire group and authoritarian group acted, victimized and witnessed more violence than the democratic group; High school students who were the only child acted, suffered and witnessed more violence than the high school students who were the non-only child in their family.2. The risk factors of high school students violence include lower grade, parents’marital instability, parents authoritarian education, the only child, utilitarian values and low self-esteem level. And the protective factors of high school students’violence include practical values and democratic education. |
