The history of mathematics is the science of studying on the development law of mathematics. Withknowing more about mathematics and understand better on mathematics education, people graduallyrealize that the educational value of it and the significance of teaching it. In The Standard of MathematicsCurriculum of Senior High School, published by the Ministry of education in2003, selected historicaltopics are adopted into the mathematics curriculum of senior high school, in which diverse curriculum,catering the individual choice and embodying the cultural value of mathematics are written. In addition, theselective subject of these topics are opened.In Henan province, the new curriculum reform has been implemented from the year of2008. Theauthor participated in the whole process of the first implementation of new curriculum reform in TaiqianNO. I senior high school. The teaching practice of these topics that with a total of18periods had beenaccomplished during the second term from2009to2010.This paper includes five chapters. The first chapter elaborates the historical background, the objectiveand the significance of researching teaching practice of these topics. The second chapter elaborates thestatus and effect of these topics in senior high school teaching material. The third chapter, I have madesome beneficial explorations in the usual teaching practice. I have studied foue teaching principleselaborates the process of starting and teaching these topics and the difficulties. This is one of the innovationof this article. The forth chapter investigates effectiveness of learning these topics after teaching practiceand discovering some problems in teaching process by questionnaires and testing data analysis, and afterreflecting the solutions will be found.This is the innovation of this article. Finally, in the fifths chapter,theauthor provides some advice about opening these topics which may be the reference for senior highmathematics teachers on the front.Hoping this research can serve as a reference or a revelation in the academic study of teachers and thestudy of students.
