Into the21st century, high school basketball entered a new historical stageof development, the development of middle school sports along with basketball, play an increasingly richcampus life, the development of quality education, and to promote China’s basketball in popularity andimprovement a large role. Affected by many factors, the development of China’s middle school basketballroad remains difficult, basketball likeability and enjoyment of the teachers and students need to study theimpact of the work, students effect, but also to study the course of the implementation of the basketballplan, implementation, feedback, basketball development and practice of the different periods in ourcountry, to raise the level of China’s middle school basketball and the development of the high schoolbasketball has a great role in promoting and guiding. Must carefully analyze the characteristics of highschool basketball at the present stage, the connotation, extension, clear Pingdingshan City Middle Schoolbasketball teaching theoretical research direction and basketball fitness, leisure, entertainment and culturalfunctions, and to develop a suitable student needs to reflect the personality development of students achievehealth as the main teaching planning and implementation details.Through literature, survey and analysis of Pingdingshan City Middle School Basketball Teaching,extracurricular basketball activities, after-school training contests, and Pingdingshan City College and tocarry out the status quo. to analyze the results show that:1, the age structure of the physical education teachers in Pingdingshan City high school basketball ismore reasonable, the majority of middle-aged physical education teachers, the proportion of young teachersless., Pingdingshan City Middle School in the outdoor basketball venues, most of the cement or asphaltvenues, use very little plastic venues school. Traditional teaching methods in theteaching of physical education teachers in Pingdingshan City middle school basketball still accounts for alarge proportion of the curriculum reform, new teaching methods and philosophy are not well popularizeand promote.4, Pingdingshan City, most high school students like the basketball hinder participate inbasketball the main reason is because of the lack of venues, basketball equipment shortages, learning tight.5, students want teachers to enrich their teaching content in the future work, to stimulate students’ learninginterest in basketball.6, Pingdingshan City, school leaders and parents on the importance of the reform ofbasketball is not paid much attention to. Parents think playing a waste of learning effort. High schoolstudents think basketball conducive to the improvement of academic achievement, but learning and cultureclasses, academic competition too much pressure and other factors have seriously crowding out themajority of students in basketball activities time, high school students is not conducive to the physical andmental health and cultural lesson learning efficiency.Asked the following countermeasures:1, age structure, maintain and optimize physical educationteachers to improve the overall quality of teachers.2, on the basketball court, the museum facilities fundingincrease on the existing foundation. Basketball teaching, to change the concept, to realize of aheavier teachers teach steering weight students learn, the main inspiration induction, with full respect forthe dominant position of students in learning. Students’ self-building and self-development as the startingpoint of the approach to education.6, ideological guidance to strengthen school leadership, class teacher,physical education teacher, the student and the vast majority of parents, to recognize that good health is to improve the prerequisite for learning and work, appropriate to participate in basketball or other sportsactivities.
