With the fast development of technology and increasing competition in society, the living standard of colleges and universities in china improves constantly and the competition continues to increase. College students appear diversity mental health problems when facing these complex changes. As times change and psychological problems became more complex, the traditional mode of mental health for student appears to be too stiff. Therefore, we need to pull in School Social Work, opening up a new, scientific, effective solution to the channel for college students’ mental health problems.This paper attempts to grasp the current situation of college students’ mental health, to explore the characteristics and influencing factors of college students’mental health from the philosophy and perspective of school social work, and to discuss the intervention of school social work deeply, so as to enhance the overall quality of students and to advance comprehensively the practical application of school social work in colleges and universities in China. In this paper,"College Students’Mental Health Scale" and "college students’ mental health impact factor questionnaire (homemade)" are used to question478college students, and the data were statistically analyzed with SPSS18.0software. I also used the interviews to interview with some full-time teachers and students in college.By measurement, questionnaires and interviews, we have mastered the current state of college students’ mental health. We have found that college students’ mental health problems is mainly manifested in anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social withdraw and paranoia. Combining the interview result, personal factors, family factors, school factors and social factors for affecting the mental health of college students have discussed here.Based on the current research and discussion result, the author combines the theory, methods and techniques of social work with the traditional school mental health education methods together, to intervene in the case of a college student’ s mental health problem and closed smoothly. This paper put forward the author’s own views on the casework, group work, community work and outreach work of school social work from Social-ecological Systems Theory Perspective and Strengths Perspective, combined with Empowering Theory. Especially in the case work, it should pay attention to the intervention of emotion, cognition, behavior and environment; in school group work, it should pay attention to procure the acceptance and recognition of self-building, self-confidence enhancement, understanding and transposition thinking of others. We hope School social work can help students solve problems, discover their potential talent, enhance the quality and adapt to life by solving the problem of the student with emotional confusion, academic pressure, developing and adapting and a lack of resources, and strive to promote the practical application of School Social Work.
