The research of effective teaching originates from the western scientific teaching movement in twentieth century. It starts from the nineteen eighties in China and has appeared many books and periodicals about effective teaching. Among them, what is the effective teaching, how to measure the effective teaching and how to realize the effective teaching is the main problem of the effective teaching research. However, these studies are done just from the teacher’s point of view, ignore this subject situation of students, thus the effective teaching research is not comprehensive enough. In addition, the teachers and students is not a vacuum as it exists, their activities will be influenced by the subjective and objective environment, such as the school of the environment, atmosphere and so on, but now is in lack of this research in the area. In view of this, this article study on how to achieve effective teaching from the level of the whole school.First of all, we got the situation of effective teaching through the questionnaire survey. And through the collation and analysis of the questionnaire, we found that there exist some existing problems in effective teaching. First, the knowledge and practice of teaching plan are not uniform. In the survey we found that most teachers have realized the importance of teaching plan, but less seriously make the teaching plan, not to mention to the strict implementation of the teaching plans; second, most give emphasis on knowledge and skills, but the process and methods, emotional attitudes and values are not given enough attention; third, teaching method lacks enough preparation and the cooperative learning effect is poor; fourth, the method of teaching evaluation is single, mainly use test as the main evaluation methods, and mastery of evaluation content focused on students’ knowledge; fifth, teaching reflection becomes a mere formality, teacher’s reflection ability is poor; sixth, the teacher collaboration efficiency is low, teacher collaboration is often a mere formality, however.Secondly, in view of the above problems, we analysis the causes of every problem and put forward the corresponding improvement strategy. That is to say, the problems of the teaching plan may be due to the teacher occupation burnout and overwork, in view of this, to realize the goal of effective teaching, we should identify what the teaching plans are according to and the content of teaching plan; the problems of teaching goal is influenced by the theoretical level of teachers, therefore, teachers should not only understand and be familiar with the teaching goal, it requires teachers to form understanding of their own; the problems of teaching method is due to teachers lack of full understanding of methods, therefore, teachers need to deepen our understanding of the teaching methods, especially deepen the knowledge of teaching practice methods; the problems of teaching evaluation form because of the pressure from three aspects:society, schools and parents, in order to change this situation, it needs to be considered from the way of evaluation, evaluation content and evaluation subject; teaching reflection problems may be that the teacher’s theoretical foundation is weak, the lack of the spirit of reflection and school supervision and management ignore, therefore, we need to find ways from teachers and schools; teaching cooperation problems exist from three aspects: society, school and teacher factors and result in cooperation form problem. We should change the situation from the concept, organization and implementation three levels.Finally, from the overall level of school, respectively, from the concept level, management level and the teaching level we put forward the whole proposal. The concept level we should persist one principle. The level of management we should follow suit, the teaching level starts from the groups of teachers and students, make full use of the group characteristics. And finally, we provide guarantee of effective teaching from the organization.The above is my thought of effective teaching from the overall level, hoping to have certain enlightening significance to the theory and practice of effective teaching.
