Children’s planting behavior refers to behavior in the process of sowing, managing and harvesting. Behavior refers to both explicit behavior such as posture, action and language and the process of thinking and gaining experience linked closely to explicit behavior. Through observation and documentation of children’s planting behavior, this study analyzed children’s specific behavior in the process of sowing, managing and harvesting, summarized the influencing factors of children’s planting behavior and finally put forward some suggestions to organize appropriate planting activities.Research methods adopted included observation and informal interview. Firstly, by analyzing the observation materials, the researcher made analyses on the children’s planting behavior in the process of sowing, managing and harvesting. Secondly, combined with the informal interview materials, the researcher summarized the influencing factors of children’s planting behavior, including internal factors, such as children’s original experience, age and approach to learning and external factors, such as teachers, planting activities, materials and peer experience. Based on that, the researcher put forward some suggestions for teachers as follows. First of all, teacher should realize the significance of children’s planting activities. In the preparation stage, teachers should provide experience preparation, material preparation and site preparation. In the activity process, teachers should learn to wait, listen to and encourage exploring the unknown. In the after-activity process, teachers should support and encourage children’s exploration to create appropriate conditions for children of gaining and accumulating experience linked to the planting activity. Besides, the researcher made conclusions of this study. That is, children’s planting behavior embodies great value of promoting children’s development and children’s planting behavior is a kind of comprehensive learning behavior, and then children’s planting behavior is influenced by teachers. Finally, the research was summarized.
