Order And Uncertainties Beyond - Towards A New Practice Of Sociology

The sociological crisis has started in the1960s and1970s of the last century. Postmodernism and globalization have a profound impact on sociology and the social sciences as well. From the epistemological point of view, postmodernism criticism makes the sociology of science property useless. From the ontological point of view, the acceleration process of the globalization makes contemporary social structure and real life of life continuously changeable. In addition, some new findings in physics makes the original imaging of the social sciences, the paradigm of "social physics", crushable. Various factors break out the "social" category as well as the sociological legitimacy. Above all, sociology is facing the general crisis.The general crisis of sociology appears suddenly rather than uncertainty of social change and the relentless pursuit of the rule since the beginning of the creation of the sociology. The classic thinkers’ understandings of society are full of contradictions and ambiguity. Durkheim emphasized the social fact materialized and spiritual views of society. Social solidarity plays the important role of the rule; Durkheim was for the social representation research as the complexity of the society. Starting from uncertainty of agency, Webber’s efforts were abstract understanding that of the actions of individuals, but the "ideal type" rose to a method as deterministic research paradigm. Marx’s research began with social relations, but his theory advocated uncertainty and conflict relationship while ignoring the integration of social norms. Parsons’ theory is filled with the integration efforts of the social system, with particular emphasis on the social stability of the neglect of the social conflict. In addition, Schutz and Garfunkel worked hard on the reconstruction of the social order, but are due to the chronic problems of the theory of internal and limitations of the times and eventually produce unbridgeable contradiction.Sociological uncertainty makes the Western sociological theory a big discussion and criticism of the old concept of the "society", new thinkers no longer to pursuit rule all their life. And by showing the ambiguous relationship between uncertainty and order, they are trying new synthesis of sociological theory. Giddens’ structuration theory, Beck’s Cosmopolitanism, Touraine’s agency theory, Bowman’s individualization advocate uncertainty, indicating that new sociological theory will be integrating of order-uncertainty and social-personal, agency-structure, overall- individuals to reconstruct society.As the other surface of the main body (uncertainty) has been discussed, sociological is no longer linear "social physics" or "sociobiology". New sociology is neither disciplinary power, nor the nihilistic view of science against know-ability emphasis on the instability of the knowledge. The "Aphasia" of scientific theory is the importance of post-sociology. Post-sociology shows as the following: Firstly, focus on diversity, against unity, focus on the social imagination and knowledge experience of each social subject; secondly, it is against the linear developing mode and advocates non-linear developing mode; Thirdly, it enhance the accession to the life-orientation of research subjects, the subject and object of study are get-together to participate in research, to build a knowledge community in order to make scientific development and social progress.The resulting post-sociology is science, but not scientism. Sociology calls for a new "practice" point of view, which is sociological proposition via the integrated structured and individualized, Cosmopolitanism and agency reversion formed to reflectivity on new understanding and experience. It is the only way of sociological knowledge change the power into the science, and the only way of the existence of the new social reality.
