With the new round of the secondary school curriculum reform, the high school history teaching has also put forward new challenges and requirements. According to the characteristics of the historical subject, how to stimulate students interests in learning about the course in teaching, guide the student to delve into the question, which require teachers to improve teaching skills while digging for the selection of teaching content and innovation. In recent years, in the process of rapid social transformation, sociology has attracted more and more attention from the perspective of social phenomena and social problems. The stone of tashan can offend jade. This paper combines the two methods, explore the specific theories, methods of social application in high school history teaching, it also reflects positive effect in the process of applying and limitations.This article from the basic connotation of sociology, makes a brief introduction on the research object of sociology, and on the basis of sociological theories, methods to make appropriate explanation. In this paper, for the theme that how to use the sociological theories, methods applied to the high school history teaching, here we focuse on Max Weber’s Protestantism and the Spirit of Capitalism, Fei xiaotong’s The Pattern of Difference Sequen and the structured interview. After learning about the concrete of sociological theories, methods, we emphatically discuss how to apply the relevant theories and methods in the history teaching practice. Protestantism and the Spirit of Capitalism introduces cultural produce a great influence on economy, when explicating The Reformation in The High school history compulsory Ⅲ, we can throw the problem of Weber that why capitalism only occurs in the west in class. And finally we introduce the explanation of weber to the problem:after protestant religious reform, its follow ethics has a promoting effect on the western capitalist spirit, throughout this way, causing students to think.The Pattern of Difference Sequen is an interesting metaphor for Fei Xiaotong’s early years of the ancient Chinese society and interpersonal relationships, in view of this theory, mainly used to assist students to master knowledge points. And it has good effects for students on attracting attention, improving learning interest and extending thinking ability. But at the same time, the sociology discipline development is slow sociological theories, methods are chaos and deep, which cause some certain limitations for its application in the teaching of history. Accordingly, it brings about some challenges for teachers choicing and applying theories, methods and for students accepting and understanding them.
