Questioning in class is one of the most common teaching behaviors, it is also a hot topic in the field of teaching and education. Theoretical research on classroom questioning made many significant achievements, and research on mathematics classroom questioning was not a few. However, the design of mathematical problems and optimizing questioning manner also need to be studied.This paper mainly studied three parts around the mathematics classroom questioning. First of all, through two questionnaires of the teachers and students we made more comprehensive understanding of classroom questioning, and through observing mathematics classroom case from objective perspective, we summarize the shortcomings of the current classroom questioning; Secondly, according to the survey results, we made research in two aspects and constructed two theories:"three-link" of question designing and "six elements" of questioning manner; Finally, we explored by action research, designed a mathematics course in junior high school based on the front theory, meanwhile we tested the theory is effective in the actual teaching!Through the analysis of questionnaire, mathematical classroom case, way of action research, some basic conclusions we got are as follows:(1)The classroom questioning is widely used in mathematics teaching, most students and teachers hold a favorable attitude to it. But the quality of question design is generally not high, and there is some deficiency existed in questioning.(2)We construct "three-link" of question designing theory:the initial design, elicitation and summary of the class sessions.(3)We construct "six elements" of questioning manner theory:the problem presentation should be clear, students questioned should be extensive, the waiting time should be appropriate, teachers should be good at listening, teachers should ask wisely and teachers should encourage students to ask questions.(4)Action research shows that the two theories are effective in practical teaching.(5)We give some proposals to teachers about questioning skills:hire experts to guide them; take part in lectures and teaching activities; establish research group of classroom questioning; teachers should make reflection.
