In this paper, the kaifeng is talents situation, through the method of literature, interview, questionnaire, logic analysis, etc. The study found, at present kaifeng volleyball reserve personnel training athletes training there is not positive, scientific and cultural level is low, the coaches qualities in general, the government attention is not high. The results of the survey are as follows:first, the volleyball reserve talented person’s material status:select material surface narrow, material selection is not science, coaches on subjective consciousness is more. Second, the athlete’s training situation:afraid of bitter, afraid of tired, not to bear hardships and stand hard work spirit, self consciousness is poor. Third, the coaches status:the scientific and cultural level is higher, but the scientific research ability is not strong, needs to be improved, the coaches focus not tall enough. Fourth, school to train students’ target status:goal setting is too low, preliminary talents for the athletes, few for present situation, national athletes. Fifth, the government attention to ascend, should not have paid attention to the gold medal project.Thus, this paper puts forward the development countermeasures as follows:first, to add players choose science, reduce the athlete selection of subjective initiative, multi-angle, reasonable use of experience, strengthen the selection of athletes. Second, the government increased attention, infrastructure construction, training to improve the environment, as well as to the choice of coaches do more reasonable. Third, the athletes themselves should set up a good consciousness, enhance the enthusiasm of the training, strengthen the cultural knowledge study, carries forward the arduous struggle the spirit. Fourth, the establishment of the training goal, not limited eyes, look to the future,"wen can rule the roost, wu can seek hegemony" confidence.
