Our country has already entered into the aging one, under which caring about the life of themiddle-aged and elderly has been one of the main problems faced today. In the life of the middle-aged andthe elderly, health is the foundation and key. The strong body means health and a good mood meanswell-being. Only when the middle-aged and the elderly are healthy, our country and society, and ourfamilies will reduce the burden, and then our society will be more harmonious.In recent years, with the domestic economic rapid development, people also pay more and moreattention to the body. On the basis of "National Fitness Program Outline", the national keep-fitness craze ison the rise. Tai Chi as a kind of Traditional Chinese martial arts project is undoubtedly one of the bestchoice for the body exercise of the middle-aged and the elderly. Tai Chi has soft、slow and smoothmovements with the pursuit of natural harmony. Through a long-time exercise, it can bring the physical andpsychological health to the middle-aged and the elderly.On the basis of the literature materials、interview、questionnaire survey、mathematical statistics and,logic analysis methods, by using sampling survey and research, this paper analyzes the291middle-agedand elderly tai chi practitioners from five districts in Kaifeng city and obtains the following conclusions:(1) Among the middle-aged and the elderly practitioners of tai chi, the ratio between men and womenin Kaifeng is disproportionate, but the number of every district is relatively balanced.(2) The places which the middle-aged and the elderly in Kaifeng practice Tai Chi focus on the parksand squares, and practice contents are rich.(3) The middle-aged and elderly Tai Chi practitioners in Kaifeng have a stable learning route andpractice time.(4) The main motivations of the middle-aged and elderly Tai Chi practitioners in Kaifeng are tostrengthen physical health, prevent disease, improve self-cultivation, regulate spirit and increase socialinteraction.(5) The middle-aged and elderly Tai Chi practitioners in Kaifeng think: when they learn Tai Chi, theycan know the theory、skills、techniques and knowledge on Tai Chi which are very important. On the basis of analysis, we put forward the following suggestions:(1) Based on Tai Chi culture in Henan, we should guide the middle-aged and elderly Tai Chi practiceto improve Tai Chi atmosphere in Kaifeng.(2) We should enlarge the publicity from the society and government on Tai Chi, create good publicopinion environment and information service channel, and then further expand the effect of Tai Chimovement among the middle-aged and the elderly.(3) We should build up the middle-aged and elderly social sports instructor team.(4) We should strengthen the guidance and coordinate the Tai Chi movement among the middle-agedand the elderly in every district in Kaifeng(5) We should prepare Tai Chi teaching materials and videos with the aim to promote Tai Chiintuitively.(6) We should deepen the scientific research and put the fitness function and principle of Tai Chi infront of the middle-aged and the elderly.(7) We should strengthen the guidance and make the people begin to master Tai Chi before they aremiddle-aged and elderly.
