As a traditional sports item with rich cultural connotation, the practicing and learning martial art forthe college students having advantages of enhancing physical condition, which plays an irreplaceable rolefrom other sports items.The thesis has made a conclusion and analysis for the current situation of the martial art teaching withthe methodology of literature method, mathematics statistics, logical analysis。 The conclusion has found:the objectives of the martial art course is relative suitable, the completeness of the teaching objectives isrelative satisfactory. Most teachers of physical education can complete their teaching mission perfectlyaccording to the teaching plan. Most teaching materials are edited by the schools themselves or complexteaching materials. The main teaching contents include theory, skill and assessment, the skill contentsmartial arts routines, weapons and free combat, etc. The teaching methods for martial art teachers in highvocational school of Henan Province include: follow-me process, explain method, demonstration method,complete and decomposition teaching method etc. The assessment method is varied in different colleges;most of them take the combined assessment with daily marks plus final exam. There are clearly differenceof the carrying on martial art activities between different colleges, the mainstream is1~2time per year. It isrelative low ratio for martial art activities in the time of morning exercise and class-break setting-upexercise. The basic situation of the martial art teachers in the high vocational schools in Henan Province is:Most teachers are male, and the largest partial is belonging to young teachers. The professional rate of theteachers is relative low, main educational background is bachelor. The postgraduate and junior collegeeducation is belonging to small partial. Professional ranks and titles are main in instructor, small partial isassistant. In general the researching skill for the martial art teachers is relative low, and the training modemay have some problems, the training chance of the young teachers is too small. The basic situation for thestudents in the high vocational schools in Henan Province is: The students mainly have relative lowcognition for the martial art, many of them have no interested in the martial art. The motivation of martialart includes enhancing physical condition, solving the exam, keeping body shape etc. In general the attitudetoward the learning of martial art is not positive, the guidance and modification from the teachers is needed.The main problems of the teaching process of martial art in high vocational schools in Henan Province liein teaching martial, teaching power, the atmosphere of martial art in campus, the assessment mode for thestudents, the field and the equipment etc. Mainly includes: to accelerate the development of HigherVocational Colleges in Henan province Wushu teaching to provide the corresponding countermeasures,:Deepening the teaching reform and innovation of Wushu curriculum; strengthening the construction ofmartial arts teachers; rich Wushu teaching content; fit reinforcement theory and technology; make full useof modern teaching methods to improve teaching quality; promote martial arts teaching in a fair, reasonable,strict the evaluation mode; improve the martial arts teaching, scientific research conditions.
