Vocabulary, as the basis of knowledge of English, is the most important factor to restrict theefficiency of learning English. Wilkins (1972) pointed out more insightfully:without grammar very littlecan be conveyed. Without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed. Vocabulary as the basic material ofconstituting the language and one of the foundations of English teaching is not only a key but also adifficulty of primary school English teaching.Through classroom observation,questionnaires,interviews and other forms of research,we found thatthe current primary school English vocabulary teaching is not optimistic. The research according to thetheory of constructivism, the theory of second language acquisition, emotional psychology theory and thetheory of children’s cognitive development, with primary school English vocabulary, teaching practice andaccumulated good experience of most teachers,adopt the way of combining teaching model elements inthe teaching theory, built a primary school English vocabulary context teaching.The body of this paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter, is mainly to the relative concept of interpretation, analysis of the constituentelements of teaching model.The second chapter is, from the characteristic and value pursuit of the primary school Englishvocabulary, the characteristics of primary school pupils to understand English vocabulary class type.The third chapter is analysis of the present situation of primary school English vocabulary, and theattribution analysis of the problems.The fourth chapter is the primary school English vocabulary teaching model construction and is alsothe emphasis and difficulty of this paper. This mode is consisted of theoretical foundation, teaching goal,operation procedures, teaching evaluation and the conditions of implementation.The fifth chapter,is case analysis of primary school English situational teaching mode.The research,based on the primary school English vocabulary teaching model, analysis PEP five Unit2What can youdo?Part A Let’s learn.The sixth chapter is the reflection and Prospect of this study.
