This article reference on the existing domestic and international theory——Multiple HybridArchitecture model, VPM model, U-Curve Theory, to do some in-depth analysis to the differentmotivation variation stage in the process of university students’ voluntary service through thesubjective cognitive perspective, so as to achieve a relatively real academic research, and finallysummarize the new voluntary service motivation variation process model, in order to understand thefeature of motivation variation in the process of university students’ voluntary service and to revealthe pattern, so that to further guide and incentive the practice of the voluntary service organization. This article try to uses the content analysis method subordinated to qualitative research methodsto code and statistics the42interview samples, found that university students’ voluntary servicesmainly on a voluntary behavior. Voluntary motivation will vary during a long time voluntaryservice. The initial motivation of the university student to participate in the voluntary service mostlybe satisfied at the end of the activity. Therefore three significant model of motivation variation inprocess of the voluntary service is bulit, namely the U-Curve Model, the J-Curve Model, and theL-Curve Model. And to further explore the influencing factors and the formation of the pattern. Thestudy found that five patterns of motivation variation in the process of university students’ voluntaryservice: Firstly, the satisfy of the voluntary motivation impact on the willingness to participate thesubsequent voluntary activity, more satisfied more intention to join the next voluntary service, andvice versa. Secondly, the "key events" and a "key figure" is the turning point of the motivation in theprocess of voluntary service, and will have both positive and negitive impacts on the intensity level ofthe volunteer service motivation. When the intensity level of the volunteer service motivation fromstrong to weak, it plays the negative role. When the intensity level of the volunteer service motivationfrom weak to strong, it plays the positive role. Thirdly, different types of voluntary service motivationis not absolutely opposite, but can be symbiotic, reflecting in the type named the Traditional-Modern–Postmodern Motives Hybrid volunteer service motivation. The fourth point, when the voluntaryservice motivation level is relatively strong, the traditional motivation and the postmodern motivationare dominant; when the voluntary service motivation level is relatively weak, the modern motivationis dominant. The fifth point, when the intensity level of the volunteer service motivation from strongto weak, the traditional motivation and the postmodern motivation will transformed to modernmotivation. when the intensity level of the volunteer service motivation from weak to strong, themodern motivation will transformed to the postmodern motivation and the traditional motivation.Through the above study, the organization and management of university student voluntaryservice practice can be made more scientific, better targeted and truly effective to stimulate thecontinuous voluntary service motivation of the university student as well as to improve thesustainability of its voluntary service: First, judge the basic service motivation characteristics of thevoluntary group. Second, offer timely some targeted incentive measure, based on the motivationvariation pattern and the stage characteristics in process of the voluntary service by universitystudents.
