Research On The Application Status And Countermeasures Of Modern Educational Technology In Higher Vocational Colleges Of Jiangxi Province

Higher vocational education, as one of the most essential parts of China’shigher education, has become a major base for fostering high-level technical andskilled talents who are increasingly scarce nowadays. It has also been an importantwindow for showing the achievements of China’s higher education since the reformand opening up. Most vocational college graduates are engaged in the basic technicaljobs in governmental sectors, enterprises and institutions, or private companies,bearing the major responsibility for the economic take-off of the local region andeven the whole nation. With the booming of modern information technology, highervocational colleges are confronting an unprecedented opportunity as well as a greatchallenge. Under the increasing pressure of college enrollment expansion, highervocational education has to identify its characteristics so as to keep an impregnableposition in the competition. Modern educational technology fully used in classteaching reform can be undoubtedly a winning "magic weapon". The developmentaland applicative level of modern educational technology in higher vocational collegesis regarded as a scale to measure the modernization of higher education in China.In recent years, Jiangxi province has achieved rapidly economic development inthe whole areas of central China, steadily heading toward the goal of "the first to risein the central region". The secretary Su Rong put forward a proposal, theconstruction of a "rich, harmonious, and pretty" new Jiangxi, on the opening of the13th congress of Jiangxi province, painting a blueprint for the future development ofJiangxi province. On the one hand, the springing up of emerging industrial parks hasinjected strong vitality into the economic development of Jiangxi; on the other hand,the comprehensively launching of Poyang lake eco-economic zone constructionprojects has greatly increased the demand for high-quality technical and skilledtalents. Jiangxi higher vocational colleges have responsibility to shoulder the burdenof cultivating qualified professional talents, which is not only a great opportunity butalso a big challenge. Chosen "the present application of modern educationaltechnology in higher vocational colleges of Jiangxi province" as the research object, the study has been conducted through a questionnaire survey and several individualinterviews on the basis of a large number of documentary analyses and theoreticaldiscussions, in view of the present application of modern educational technology inhigher vocational colleges of Jiangxi province. By processing survey data andsystemizing interview transcription, the study has summed up the current mainproblems existed in the application of modern educational technology in highervocational colleges of Jiangxi; On the basis of in-depth analysis, the study hassummarized the forming causes for the problem of modern educational technologyapplication in higher vocational colleges; In order to change the backward status andto solve the prominent problems in modern educational technology application inhigher vocational colleges, a series of scientific, specific, feasible countermeasureshave been proposed in five aspects, including concept, management system, funding,application environment, and teachers’ training. Having learnt the successfulexperiences of modern education technology application from some developedcountries, the study fully considered the reality of higher vocational colleges inJiangxi province. In sum, the study is to add something valuable to the theoreticalconstruction and practical exploration of the informatization development for highervocational education in Jiangxi province.
