Aerobics is a kind of emerging sport which synthesizes dancing, gymnastics, martial arts, Latin. It reflects the overall effectiveness of fitness, vigorous and graceful and healthy heart. Aerobics is a systemic rhythmic movement with cheerful, rhythmic music accompanying. It achieves the effects of fitness, beauty, weight loss and entertainment, letting the participants revel in the rhythm of the happiness. Moreover, aerobics is one of the excellent sport events which can build up our bodies and edify sentiment.With the rapid development and popularity of aerobics, more and more people gradually have a good knowledge of aerobics and join it. Aerobics also penetrate into the school sports gradually. It developed from the type of warm up at the beginning to the independent special aerobics class, which fully embodies the love for it. Aerobics became the most popular courses in physical education teaching quickly. In recent years many high schools set up the aerobics courses. According to the requirement of the new curriculum standard, the high school physical education reform is developing fiercely. The high school sports new curriculum reform is to allow the students to choose their teachers and courses autonomously. Aerobics option course has become a beautiful scenery line in the reform.This article aims at investigating the present teaching situation and the teaching effects in Jingzhou high schools, using questionnaire investigation, logic inductive method, mathematical statistics method, interview method, hoping to have a comprehensive understanding of the present situation about the aerobics option course teaching and the teaching effects in Jingzhou city, and to improve the teaching content and the teaching quality. What is more, try to find out some positive factors and lack of reason inn aerobics option course in quality education. This article also puts forward corresponding suggestions about high school aerobics option course of the integration of the characteristics and effect of teaching content strategy. The most important aspect is to provide valuable reference for the development of aerobics option course in high schools in Jingzhou city. According to the survey, it shows that there are different factors which affect the development of aerobics option course in our city. For example, whether the school attaches great importance to it, the students’cognitive situation, the faculty, the teaching content, the teaching means, the teaching methods the equipment as well as the teaching effects.(1) The rate of opening aerobics option course in high schools of our city is high as well as the students’cognitive situation. However, the school itself does not attach importance to it. There are few chances of communicating activities about aerobics which severely restrains the development of aerobics special class.(2) The teaching faculty of aerobics option course in our city is weak and the gender gap is also big. The professional level of teachers is not high enough. Some aerobics teachers are not even trained for the professional contents, which does not fit in with current trend in this society.(3) The teaching contents of aerobics option course in our high schools are too single, conservative, lack of novelty and times. It does not appeal to the interests of our students for aerobics. For instance, the lack of Yoga, Latin, hip-hop, jazz etc. It can not satisfy the personality needs of the current students. The teaching means and methods don’t keep pace with social development, which influence the development of aerobics seriously.(4) The school leaders failed to realize the positive role of aerobics in terms of cognition and thought. They input less money for it, lack of venue and equipment which affects the enthusiasm of students and teachers in aerobics learning and also affects the rapid development of aerobics.(5) The teaching effects of aerobics is not significant. The students’ endurance quality is ordinary. The power quality lacks of balance. The speed quality development is not ideal.All in all, different problems are existing in the development of aerobics option course in our city. Give an analysis of existing problems and the insufficiency. Put forward reasonable suggestions and measures which can greatly promote the development of aerobics option course in our city.
