Essay is an expression of written form and the resonating from the minds and Hearts of the people,"pen" to talk and communication, Reflecting the comprehensive capacity of people’s language subjects literacy. The essay has an important role in training students the ability of observing and developing the abilities of students’understanding and expression. As well Composition has an unique charm in forming people’s good morality and right outlook of life by the combination of persisting in educating people. The study is based on fifth grade students and choose writing literacy as the topic of the research, evaluation of the Composition as the perspective and form, mainly by the gathering up the primary students’ live essay, and then according to the result of the essay marking, statistics and data analysis, the author have investigated the writing literacy level of fifth-grade students.The study attempts to analyze several key words:essay and essay literacy etc and define the essential meaning of these words, then complete the relevant exploration and study. In the process of writing papers author surveyed25first-line experienced primary school teachers x of Changchun City, By using questionnaire, author have determined several dimensions that these teachers concerned about in Essay evaluation. Through the arrange and analysis of literature、surveys and interviews, author determined the draft evaluation criteria. And reference to the views of the first-line teachers study determines the appropriate score of different dimension in the evaluation criteria after re-calculation, re-analysis and re-collation, Finally, the study got the criteria:writing literacy evaluation criteria of fifth grade students. The standard is mainly used to evaluate the fifth grade students’writing literacy including six first-degree dimension:the theme, structure, facial tattoos, language, emotion and innovation, and six first-degree dimension include16second-degree dimensions:novel theme, the theme is clear, clear structure, character writing.In this investigation of student writing literacy, author prepared the writing literacy. Evaluation papers of the fifth grade students. In the process of completing evaluation criteria, author studied the essay in primary school language textbooks including, the Changchun version, PEP, North version. The total43compositions in three versions, through repeated selection, have gotten the first draft. According to the suggestion of x primary composition teacher, author finally determined the evaluation roll final style. The papers are divided into three parts, the first part is the title and the prompt to introduce the name of the paper, object and several points that students should pay attention to; second part of the essay is content; The third part is the requirements of the essay. The essay requirement included several aspects: a clear theme, clear structure, truthful, neat facial tattoos, the correct format, the language, true feeling etc.The study has surveyed148students in four classes of fifth grade of x primary school Changchun City, to test these students, and at the same time using the evaluation criteria of the composition of the student evaluation to research each dimension, then draw the fifth-grade students writing literacy current Situation,the situation mainly include the following aspects. First, the correct rate of Chinese characters is low, the compositions include a lot of typos; Secondly, the dropouts and Pinyin instead greatly existed in the compositions; Thirdly, the words in the essay is obviously not enough, the phenomena of scrape words greatly happened, the same words are repeated in the essay, Finally, ideas and conception of the essay are stereotyped, and not enough outstanding.
