Since the global financial crisis broke out in2008, the complex internal and external environments, which Zhejiang foreign trade is mainly facing with, have made Zhejiang foreign trade enterprises be in urgent need of upgrading and transformation. The key of upgrading and transformation is the factor of "talent". In the day of the knowledge economy and global economic integration, the competition among foreign trade enterprises is not on the commodities and low wage labor, but on entrepreneurship and employee’s professional knowledge, skills and flexible ability. This paper conducts the research on foreign trade talent structure changes in Zhejiang province to provides some opinions and suggestions for the economy development and talent development strategy of the12th Five-Year plan in Zhejiang and the12th Five-Year plan on Zhejiang talent development.This paper reviews some theories of the talent structure, the optimization of talent structure, as well as the relationship between talent structure and industrial structure or economic development combining with the present situation, characteristics, and existing problems. Our analysis and research focus on the influence factors of talent structure changes such as the labor cost, the market demand structure, export trade commodity structure, trade mode, and so on, on the basis of which we will put forward the strategy and suggestions to optimize the structure of talent.We mainly use the method of qualitative and quantitative analysis to analyze, induce, and summarize some aspects of the talent structure through the database of journals, books and materials, questionnaire, and other channels to collect relevant data. The survey shows that Zhejiang foreign trade enterprises do not have enough advantage of talent resources. There generally exist the low quantity and quality, irrational personnel structure, and serious the outflow of talent phenomenon. At the same time, factors, such as rising labor cost, changes in market demand structure and in export trade commodity structure, the transfer of mode of trade, etc., influence the rationality of Zhejiang foreign trade talents structure. Imbalance of talents structure will restrict the optimization and upgrading of Zhejiang industrial structure, the trade mode transformation and the transformation of economic growth mode, and eventually hinder the improvement of the competitiveness of enterprises.This paper uses the relative theories of talent structure to specially research on the characteristics, the trend and the various influence factors of talent structure change in the foreign trade industry in Zhejiang province, which is the biggest bright spot.
