As popular education enters a new phase in China, both employment of those graduate students and management of high-educated human resources are increasingly becoming a universal social phenomenon to some extent. Life Sciences, which develop faster in the near 50 years over in the past 500 years, are an inevitable result of scientific development, and will serve as one of the leading industries to affect human survival and development of all aspects. The 2007-2008 global financial crisis has brought great suffering to many industries. Has industry of life sciences been influenced? What is its impact and how it affects the related graduate employment?In this paper, the characteristics and the environment of graduate students employment in life sciences are investigated systemically after a review of the development of life sciences. And an inspection on the scale and quality of graduate students training points out their strengths and weaknesses against competitors. Then the changes in the fields of life sciences by the 2007-2008 global financial crisis are comparatively analyzed, at home and abroad, before and after. Combined with a questionnaire survey of the psychological state of graduate students and their value orientation, it comes out the China's life sciences graduate employment situation under the influence of the financial crisis in spite of a variety of factors affecting employment.It points out that as foreign economic depression, cost control, massive layoffs go with the 2007-2008 global financial crisis, labor demands of life sciences decline in the international market. However there are still many incentives to help our country's biomedicine to have good prospects for development over the next few years, such as the international pharmaceutical giant's R & D Services transfer, new medical reform brought about by changes in the domestic pharmaceutical market and strong investment biomedicine from the state. Although many enterprises reduce the staff recruitment plans, they are still thirsty for the top R & D personnel's joining. More foreign students are willing to return to entrepreneurship, transnational corporations and biomedical R & D outsourcing company with more opportunities.It is good time for the domestic life sciences to support the field of life sciences by anti-cycle operation, increase investment in research and development, accelerate the introduction of qualified personnel from the financial crisis. China's life sciences graduate students encountered returnees influx of competition at the same time, there is more high-level scientific research, education and management positions opening. Some personal subjective factors will also affect the life sciences graduate student employability. Competitiveness, practical ability, overall quality as well as major considerations on employment will affect their employment. The field of life sciences is booming in spite of the global financial crisis, especially in China. It is not difficult for those graduate student, who face the opportunities outweigh the challenges with professional firm and market awareness, to find a suitable position in the flexible market.
