To launch in-depth entrepreneurship education among young students in order to create more job opportunities is one of the important approaches at present to cope with the problem of difficult employment among college graduates. Despite thorough research into entrepreneurship education of college students conducted in the academia, there are few literatures on the research into entrepreneurship education problems in agricultural science colleges. This study has, by taking Shanxi Agricultural University as an example, conducted deep analysis of entrepreneurial consciousness, entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial practice of its agricultural science college students and proposed relevant strategies to address the emerging problems. This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction which mainly offers a description of the research background, significance and theoretical foundation, analysis of the research status quo and presentation of the research methods and approach as well as the innovative features.The second part gives an illustration of practical significance of entrepreneurship education for agricultural science college students. The deep study into three aspects of social demands, demands of colleges and individual demands in this section fully shows practical meaning of entrepreneurship education among students in agricultural science colleges.The third part, highlight of this paper, is a case analysis of entrepreneurship education in Shanxi Agricultural University. The approach of questionnaire survey is adopted and conducted mainly among students and their counselors of this university. Thereafter, major practices of its entrepreneurship education and the results are analyzed. Finally, this paper has expounded from perspectives of educational concept, educational mode, educational methods, course system, the faculty and its practices the problems and shortcomings of entrepreneurship education in Shanxi Agricultural University, which offers an objective factual basis for strengthening entrepreneurship education for agricultural college students. The fourth part presents the general idea of entrepreneurship education for agricultural college students. This part, based on the status quo of entrepreneurship education in agricultural colleges and aimed at ways to carry out entrepreneurship education, proposes the working principles of adhering to whole-course education, systematic promotion and all staff participation and the operating idea to construct "agriculture basis featured" entrepreneurship education characterized by "comprehensive guidance of entrepreneurship concepts, multi-channel innovation of training modes, tiered guide by the educational system, building of the faculty according to different types and the multiple ways of practice promotion". This is the final and logic conclusion of this paper as well as the representation of its practical value.The fifth part serves as the conclusion. The author presents in this section an overall summarization of the whole paper and sets forth problems and demerits as well as places for further improvement with the aim to provide effective theoretical guidance and practical reference for entrepreneurship education among college students.
