| Nowadays, the population aging is the world population trends, and in the case of economic underdevelopment, the Southwest Border Region of China has entered the aging society in advance, presenting the phenomenon of "getting old before getting rich". This is not just a social problem, but also a very serious economic problem because changes in the population age structure is bound to impact the economy.Based on the research subjects of the Southwest Border Regions (Yunnan and Guangxi provinces), this paper tries to do some exploration and research on the southwest border problem of aging population from the point of economic effects of the population aging, provides the theoretical and empirical testing support for the two provinces’ adjusting control policy of the population aging.Based on the sixth census data and related statistics of1993to2011, this paper will combine the qualitative and quantitative methods, and theoretical and empirical methods to study the economic effects of the Southwest Border Region of the population aging. And it uses the endogenous economic growth model which includes factors of the population aging, showing that the population aging has twofold impact on economy. At the same time, it objectively assesses the positive and negative effects of population aging on economy, and quantitatively analyses impact of population aging of the Southwest Border Region on economic output, consumption, savings, labor, social security and other aspects. According to the results of the analysis, this paper combines with the actual situation of the southwest border region, learns the experience from developed countries coping with the aging population, puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, reduces the negative effects of the population aging as much as possible, adequately grasps opportunities brought from it, and makes contribution to the economic and social development of the two provinces. |
