The cultivation of young and talented backup football players is a significantstrategy for developing Chinese football. Talented young football players are thefuture of Chinese football; they are the hope for the improvement of the talent levelof our country’s football program. The training of backup football talent issignificant to improving the talent level of football in our country. Since the practiceof football has led to professional football teams and a profoundly significantreformed domestic sports enterprise, domestic football has become significantlyenhanced. Compared to countries such as Japan and South Korea, the developmentallevel of domestic football level in China is still lacking and these differences aregrowing every year. One of the main reasons for a current difference in talent amongthese countries and China is the training of talented backup young football players.Modern football appeared in1893to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which is located in the Northwest border area of China. At that time, the Xinjiangstudents studying abroad brought modern football to the Xinjiang region. In1953,Xinjiang established its first football team. In1976, the Xinjiang football teamfinished12thin the national league. In addition, Xinjiang has provided great trainingfor its elite football athletes who have gone into Chinese Football Association superleague clubs and Medium Armor league clubs. The number of football players fromXinjiang who represent domestic football leagues has now reached double digits.Xinjiang people are very enthusiastic, fanatic, and aggressive for football. However,Xinjiang football schools and districts currently lack sufficient training for youngbackup football players. This thesis incorporated literature data, questionnaires, interviews, fieldwork. After observing the current status of Xinjiang youth football professional back-uppersonnel training and conducting in-depth investigation, the following conclusionshave been reached:(1)Xinjiang youth football coaches are generally middle-aged, in good shape, have a good attitude and work ethic, and are positive and effective coaches; however, their education and certifications are often low, their research capacity is very poor, and their teaching and training methods are less than ideal.(2)Xinjiang football players are generally young and quick to learn, they are invery good shape and very athletic, and they have a high motivation for participatingin training; however, their academic levels are generally slightly lower than theaverage student. (3)The parents of most Xinjiang football players cannot afford the besttraining, but they are generally encouraging and have a positive attitude towards theirchildren’s football training.(4) Xinjiang youth players attend a variety of training institutions such asfootball schools, sports schools, and City Amateur Sports Schools in all eightdistricts of Xinjiang; there are relatively large differences in these training programs, but the training and lessons are sufficient in each of these institutions.(5) The current status of the training facilities available to meet the trainingneeds of the football players is as follows: the Song Qing Ling Football School hasthree standard football fields, each of the two sports schools has one standardfootball field, and each City Amateur Sports School located in the eight districts ofXinjiang has only one standard football field.(6) Football training funds are relatively scarce in Xinjiang for football players. The City Amateur Sports Schools in the eight districts of Xinjiang are more easilyable to transport their players, but the Song Qing Ling Football School and and thetwo Sports Schools still have some problems in this regard.
