Healthy andsustainable development of a country basketball, and make it can be in an invincible position in thefierce basketball competitive sports, looking all around the basketball powers in the world today,why they can keep their basketball at the high competitive level, the extensive mass foundation,strong talents reserve, reasonable talents selection and training system, is the key to their success.Young basketball talents are the main force of basketball competitive sport, and also animportant guarantee for continuous and prosperous development of China’s basketball, With therapid development of China’s economy and the improvement of people’s material and culturalliving standards, with the gradual establishment and improvement of socialist market economysystem, China’s basketball has been booming in recent years, with the rapid development of thelevel of the world basketball and the continuous reform of domestic training system for basketballreserve talents, the basketball competitive level of our country has been greatly improved.Although the athletics sports in our country gained the worldwide attentive success, but withthe gradual establishment and improvement of socialist market economy system, which bringsgreat impact to a series of social change in the selection of Chinese traditional sports talents andtraining system, if we want to maintain a healthy and sustainable development of competitivesports in our country, the selection and training of reserve talents is particularly important.Throughout China’s Basketball League, both the CBA League, or the CUBA League, thereexists an obvious problem, that is, the serious shortage of the basketball reserve talents, how toexplore and improve the reform of the selection and training system under the new situation, tofind and solve various problems existed in the process of the selection and training of basketballreserve talents, which plays an important role in promoting the development of basketball in china.As a combination of school sports and competitive sports, traditional basketball school playsa important role in popularizing and promoting basketball sports, in enhancing students’ physicalquality, in cultivating basketball reserve talents. It uses its advantage of educational resources toenable athlete students to accept a good education, cultivating excellent basketball talents withall-round development of morality, intelligence, body for our country, it has opened up a new way for the selection and training of basketball reserve talents, it has significance in raising basketballreserve talents by means of culture and science, expanding the number of reserve talents,improving the quality of basketball reserve talents, solving the shortage problem of basketballreserve talents in China, promoting a sound and good development of basketball sports in China.In this paper, with its`using the method of literature, logical analysis, interview method,mathematical statistics method, field survey method and other research methods, four traditionalbasketball high school in Lanzhou were investigated, the investigation and analysis of presentsituation of training of Lanzhou high traditional basketball school talent selection, and tosummary and generalize the affect factors in the selection of reserve talents in Lanzhou highschool basketball tradition school and culture factors, objective analysis on the existing problems,put forward feasible suggestions, hoping to provide valuable information for the development ofhigh traditional basketball school in Lanzhou, try to provide scientific guidance and theoreticalbasis for the selection and training of basketball reserve personnel, make our own modestcontribution to high schools included those basketball traditional schools to further their reformand development.According to the results of the survey, factors which affected the selection of BasketballReserve Talents of Lanzhou traditional high basketball schools mainly are as follows:1. the wholenumber of traditional basketball primary school and middle school in Lanzhou is too less, lacks ofexchange activities, their basketball development is not active, appears two polarization;2. theselection of the basketball players is not comprehensive and scientific;3. inadequate fiscal fundsand appropriations, and the financing channel is too simple;4. The total times of teams and playersparticipating in the competition is also less;5. Athletes`performance in their knowledge study isnot optimistic;6. The training theory and training methods of coaches need to be updated.Aiming at the selection and training of basketball reserves of Lanzhou basketball traditionalhigh school, this paper puts forward the following countermeasures:1.to reform and perfect thereserve talents in traditional high basketball schools in Lanzhou city，perfect the selection andtraining mechanism, adapt their development to the social demand, adhere to the people-orientedidea, combine sports, education, social factors, strengthening the "body combination of teaching","learning and training " combined with the implementation efforts;2.based on the characteristicsof project Lanzhou basketball traditional basketball high school, improve the scientific training,strengthen the construction of team of traditional high basketball school, stressing the importanceof the coaches in traditional basketball high school in Lanzhou city;3.pay attention to and strengthen the project of Lanzhou traditional basketball school team talent echelon construction,increase the number of traditional basketball schools in Lanzhou, pay attention to the scientificmaterial;4.strengthen and improve the supervision and administration of the referees and athletes;5.reforming and improving high traditional schools`basketball competition system;6. payattention to and strengthen the cultural course on which student athletes learning, thus perfectedthe establishment of incentive mechanism and perfected the mechanism of rewards andpunishments.
