Research On Citizen’s Political Identiny In The Space Of Internet

Identity is the realization way of human social nature, and it is an importantlink of subjective ontological security and social condensation. It becomesacademic research hotpot of philosophy, psychology, politics and sociology.Identity changes over time. With the widespread application of internet, networksociety has become the most significant manifestations in society. As a form ofsocial identity, the formation of political identity in the space of internet hasbecome an important research topic of historical materialism on scientific,technological progress and social development. Why does political identity incyberspace happen? How does it happen? What is the formation logic of politicalidentity in cyberspace? What are the characteristics of political identity incyberspace compared with it in realistic society? Which kind of impact doespolitical identity in cyberspace have on promoting the realization of human socialnature and social development? To research these problems is not only therequirement on insisting and enriching human theory of historical materialism, butalso the actual requirement to promote the political development under thenetwork condition. So this research undoubtedly has important theoretical andpractical significances.This paper is write under the guidance of human theory of historicalmaterialism, and it takes political identity’s theory of the other subjects as areference, and it takes formation of political identity in the space of internet asresearch objects. First, this paper defines what are connotations of identity andpolitical identity. Then the article explains the human theoretical basis of politicalidentity’s formation, and it reveals the origins of political identity in cyberspacefrom the perspective of human study. On this basis, this paper emphaticallyanalyzes the formation process of political identity in both realistic society andnetwork society according to the following logical framework, interests is thestarting point of identity, system is the key to identity, and value is the core ofidentity. Next the paper summarizes the basic characteristics of political identity incyberspace, and these characteristics are about identity of political identity’ssubject, the environment of political identity, and the mentality of political identity.Finally, the paper analyzes political identity’s positive and negative effects causedby Internet, and proposes how to overcome the crisis of political identity under thenetwork condition. This paper has a particular opinion about the formation logic of politicalidentity. The formation process of political identity follows the next logicalframework, interests is the starting point of identity, system is the key of identity,and value is the core of identity. As social existence, people have survival needs,development needs and enjoyment needs, and the interests includes all of needs, sothe most essential impetus of people’s political participation is to pursue theinterests. In order to achieve and maintain the interests of all members in thesociety, it is necessary that the political system use systems to ease up interestscontradiction between subjects, so system is the key to political identity.Fundamentally speaking, the reason why citizens identify with the systems isdesigning and operation of systems include dignity, freedom, equality, justice andother values that people seek, so value is the core of political identity.Revealing the causes of political identity under the network condition is theinnovation point of thin paper.“The human being is an innate political animal”,political man takes the extent of meeting own interests as motive power ofpolitical identity.“Both in its market activities or political activities, peoplealways pursue utility maximization”, so economic man is the principle of politicalidentity.“The human being is not only a gregarious animal, but also anindependent animal only in the society”, so social man is the realization conditionof political identity.
