Course is neither a simply technical problem nor a purely neutral career. It is essentially an ideological and political issue. The research of political basis on courses, i.e. the revelation of the effects and influences of politics on courses, is to study the penetration of politics on courses as a way to materialize some political goals. To beef up efforts in China’s political basis in courses can benefit the theoretical development of Chinese courses and course improvement, and promote the realization and growth of course democracy and fairness.Different from traditional course basic subjects, the course political basis has not formed a systemic theoretical structure. Although globally speaking, at present the research on course political basis lacks accepted research issues or unique research methods or paradigms, related theories (Educational Politics, Education Policies, etc.) have laid a solid theoretical framework for the exploring and developing of political basis research on courses. In general, at present Chinese and foreign research on course political basis show the following features:insufficient study of principles, overemphasis on the technical level, fragment in related theoretical researches and a lack of systemicness. The paper explores the penetration and influence of politics in every subsystem of courses, and unveils the goals that politics tries to achieve through the penetration of courses. From a politics perspective, courses is a kind of official knowledge. The connotation of course is represented in every subsystem of course. Course design is not at all a simple question of talent specifications or a technical one, but a struggle among various political forces, parties, groups and ethos and educational factions. As a formulation process of course policies, it teems with the struggles and games among political interests. Course contents demonstrate some ideological elements, which seeks the ideological infiltration through textbooks and invisible courses. Course management process involves the operation and change of course powers. Power changes directly impacts the readjustment of course management models. Course implementation involves the question of "to fulfil whose course rights". Accordingly, in the process of course implementation, there must be conflicts and contradictions of course rights. This is mainly manifested in the class teaching process at school and by outside forces. Course evaluation is a value-biased political event as a tool to categorize and filter. The value bias is represented through the evaluating body (who evaluates), evaluation standard (on which standards to evaluate) and evaluation goal (who to serve by the evaluation).
