China launched a new round of basic education curriculum reform since2001,and it has become increasingly prominent contradiction between existing knowledgeand ability of the new course structure system. Research on rural teachers stress, it isimportant to ensure that the new curriculum was implemented smoothly and furtherdeepen. Research and analysis of work stress on rural primary and secondary schoolteachers in the new curriculum reform, which helps to the development of ruralprimary and secondary school teachers in the implementation and the smooth progressof the new curriculum reform. Therefore, this study puts the new curriculum reform asthe starting point, analyzes the status and characteristics of rural teachers’ workpressure to seek appropriate coping strategies.This study is on the basis of the literature analysis, under rural teachers’ workpressure questionnaire designed instrument, New Curriculum Reform as a researchtool, conducts a survey of Anhui Province, in an area of289rural teachers, thefollowing conclusions:Firstly, under the context of the new curriculum reform, the work pressuresource of the rural teachers mainly includes four aspects: the concerns of the newcurriculum, the new curriculum reform environment support teachers in their ownability factors, the new evaluation system. These four sources of stress impact ofteachers is different, as well as pressure on the teachers. The pressure caused by thenew evaluation system for teachers, followed by the new curriculum reformenvironment supports teachers’ capacity factors, and finally the concerns of theteachers on the new curriculum reform.Secondly, teachers in rural areas have a high degree of recognition of the newcurriculum reform. The teachers under the age of30have the highest degree ofrecognition about the new curriculum reform, different gender, school, academicqualifications of teachers on the new curriculum there was no significant difference.47.8%of teachers feel the pressure at work,32.9%of teachers pressure,14.9%of the teachers a lot of pressure. The main subject teacher has greater pressure as well as headteacher and junior high school teacher.Thirdly, teachers with different demographic characteristics were analyzed, andfound that the new curriculum reform in the context of rural teachers’ work pressurefollowing characteristics:(1) the pressure of the new evaluation system of male teachersthan female teachers.(2) the main teachers score on four pressure source are significanthigher than Vice teachers.(3) four pressure source of teacher.(4) junior high schoolteachers on the new curriculum reform environment supports more worried.(5) fiveyears or less seniority teacher stress is relatively small, older teachers of the newteacher evaluation system easier to adapt to the new curriculum.Based on the conclusions of the study on the education sector, schooladministrators, teachers, and future research recommendations accordingly,can dealwith the teachers’ work pressure.
