Exercise is an important part of the textbook, the pros and cons of the quality of exercises will directly affect the teachers to teach students the level of quality. Therefore, the research on textbooks is an exercise of great significance and value of the work. The research is exploratory exercises from a type of junior high school exercises comparative study In addition to the quantitative comparisons of the number of exercises, type the text level, from the perspective of the development of students, teachers agree on exercises and use made a number of suggestions and comments, in order to achieve a better comparison study effect.In this research,"Beijing Normal University Edition" contact extension exercises and "PEP" extension to explore exercises seventh textbooks, comparative analysis of four aspects of the number, type, the use of the exercises and the cause of the error from exercises, obtained the following conclusions:(1) the number of exercises, the new "PEP" large number of exercises (58), Beijing Normal University exercises the small number (19).
