Learning mathematics means solving problems.Textbook exercises are an important part of mathematics teaching.The cognitive level of textbook exercises is an important basis that teachers choose exercises and grasp the difficulty of training in teaching.Now in the middle school mathematics teaching,there is only one curriculum criterion,and there are many textbook versions.Therefore,it is necessary to study the cognitive level of textbook exercises,and it is a valuable research topic to compare the cognitive level of different textbook versions’ exercises.Gu Lingyuan put forward the analysis framework of mathematical cognitive level,we based on this to compare the Qingdao Edition textbook’s function exercises with the Beijing Normal University Edition textbook’s function exercises,and we can find that the Qingdao Edition’s exercises are more than the Beijing Normal University Edition’s exercises.However,from the comparison of world textbooks,we know that the number of exercises is in the "middle zone".In terms of quantity-weighted averages,the number of the Beijing Normal University Edition is larger than the Qingdao Edition’s,it reflects that the overall cognitive level of some exercises in the function of the Beijing Normal University Edition is higher than that of the Qingdao Edition,there are more high-level cognitive exercises in the Beijing Normal University Edition textbook and it’s more difficult than the Qingdao Edition textbook on the whole.The proportion of level 2 and level 3 in the Beijing Normal University textbook is the highest,reaching 65%,indicating that there are more conceptual exercises、explanatory understanding exercises and the medium difficulty exercises in the Beijing Normal University Edition textbook,the proportion of level 1 and level 2 in Qingdao Edition textbook is the highest,the proportion is also about 65%,indicating that the Qingdao Edition textbook has more basic conceptual exercises that includes calculation-operational memory level and concept-conceptual memory level.In general,the memory level of the Qingdao Edition textbook is higher than that of the Beijing Normal University Edition textbook,in terms of understanding level,the number of exercises in the Beijing Normal University Edition textbook is higher than that in the Qingdao Edition textbook.This should also be the biggest difference between the two editions of the textbooks.It reflects that the exercises of Beijing Normal University Edition textbook are mainly focused on ―mathematical understanding‖,the Qingdao Edition textbook is more inclined to operational level and computational conceptual exercises,and it reflects that the editors hope that students can get a high score in the exam. |
