With the advent of leisure time and the improvement of people’s living standards, how tospend leisure time reasonably has become a symbol of modern civilized lifestyle. Sport with itsincomparable advantage has become an important part of people’s leisure activities in manyleisure ways. This international trend of social development has also spawned a position ofprofessional managers with the features of high quality, high income and high stress, whichmake them often feel exhausted, stressed and even depressed. To know about their behaviors andanalyze their influencing factors as well as put forward suggestions can not only improve thehealth of professional managers and their life quality but also promote sustainable economicdevelopment indirectly.Taking professional managers of several key commercial enterprises in Shenyang as theinvestigation object, by means of literature, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics andinterviews, this paper conducted an investigation on the behaviors of professional managers inleisure sports. It made an in-depth study on the current situation, characteristics and problems ofthose people taking part in the leisure sports activities, tried to identify the main factorsinfluencing their behaviors and make targeted recommendations for the purpose of promoting thedevelopment of leisure sports in Shenyang.Main conclusions of the study are as follows:1. The top three motivations involved in recreational sports activities for Shenyangprofessional managers are physical fitness, stress relief and recreation. As for people of differentgender and age, they have their own characteristics.2. The Spatial and temporal characteristics of leisure sports behaviors of professionalmanagers: As for time, each activity is with a reasonable period, but with a low weekly activityfrequency; as for place, they give priority to free and nearby public places; people with an olderage prefer to spend less money than those with high income.3. Professional managers have a wide range of options for leisure sports. Most of themchose aerobic exercise and dare to challenge new games. The choice of sports depends on howmuch they earn.4. Most professional managers think participating in recreational sports activities can makethem vibrant and relieve stress and fatigue, but some people think the activities make them nochange and tired, which generate no positive emotions.5. The main factors influencing the behaviors of professional managers while taking part in leisure sports has two aspects: subjective factors and objective factors.The main recommendations:1. To Vigorously promote the function and meaning of leisuresports to guide managers to live a healthy lifestyle.2. To develop diversified, interesting leisuresports activities with regional cultural characteristics and to meet the needs of differentoccupations.3. To strengthen the construction of sports venues and facilities to meet the needs ofprofessional manager participating in leisure sports activities.
