Questioning is a core procedure of Chinese reading teaching. Effective class questioning could raisestudents’ interest for learning, improve students’ participation for activities, and cultivate students’ mindsfor creation. But in reality, class questioning is sometimes low effective even in vain. How to improve theeffectiveness of class questioning has been an urgent issue which needs to be addressed as soon as possible.On this account, the purpose of this thesis is to offer some strategies and methodologies for Chineseteachers, strengthen their capacity of class questioning and improve class teaching effectiveness by meansof exploring questioning plan in high school Chinese reading teaching.This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter explores the existing problems of high schoolChinese reading teaching in-class questioning plan based on in-class observation and points out thenecessity of Chinese reading teaching in-class questioning plan based on relevant questionnaires. Thesecond chapter states the principles of effective questioning plan for high school Chinese reading teaching.The third chapter elaborates implementation strategies of effective questioning plan. The last chapterdemonstrates case studies of varieties of texts based on high school Chinese textbooks (PEP edition).
