National Cultural Perspective Of Shanxi Xinzhou "torsion Sheep" Development And Research Of The Movement

The folk custom projects with regional characteristics are facing theunprecedented shock with the rapid development of our country’s economy.Naoyang Match as one important branch of the Chinese-style wrestling in thecity of Xinzhou Shanxi province is also confronted with the embarrassedsituation. Fortunately, State General Administration of sport approved the raceof Naoyang Match from Xinzhou Wrestling Club to declare the Chinese sportnon-material cultural heritage protection and promotion project in ChineseCulture and Sport tourism Expo held in Wuhu, Anhui province in November2013. This shows that our country has strengthened the protection of folk customprojects. In this process, the development of the folk sport culture has alreadyaroused the people’s love and pursuit.This report carries out a comprehensive analysis in terms of the historicalorigin, development course, cultural characteristic and value on Naoyang Matchin Xinzhou, Shanxi province mainly by the means of document, expert interview,comparative method, field investigation and so on. At the same time this studymakes a comparison of Naoyang Match in Xinzhou with the MongolianBurk(Mongolian wrestling) in terms of game clothing, technical characteristicsas well as the rules. The result is mainly manifested in the following three aspects:firstly, through the specific geographical history background, it is found that thekind of match is the combination result of ethnic minorities. Secondly, in theanalysis of development of Naoyang Match, it is not difficult to see its culturalcharacteristics and value after several dynasties. Thirdly, the social influence ofthe Naoyang Match can be seen through analyzing the development of its currentsituation,. Finally, proposed a problem that how can we make it a betterinheritance and development of the wrestling from the perspective of ethnicculture in terms of its cultural characteristics and value. This report aims tostudy the correlation between Naoyang Match and the Mongolian Wrestlingunder the special geographic conditions. It can be concluded that the NaoyangMatch is a kind of brand-new mode of wrestling combined the advantages of Mongolian Wrestling in the long development course. The implication of thisstudy is that it can add a new perspective on the cultural aspects of the wrestling.
