Research On Women Education In Zhejiang During1911(1894——1913) Revolution

The development of women education is related to the national quality, national progress and social development as well as the progress and development of women. In traditional society of China, the level of women education was lower and opportunities of education provided by society was also fewer. Women were confined to the attic deep courtyard, lived in isolated life,did not know the transformation of the world and considered the male citizens as the center of survival,even as all.Because of not being independence of economy and lacking of respect, gradually they looked down upon theirselves and became slaves of male. After the opium war, with the western forces invading, western life customs and values were spread widely in China, which made the thought of equal rights identified and advertised, especially the equality of accepting education among men and women. During1911(1894——1913) revolution, the reformer vigorously promoted and practiced it. Based on the revolution,the article has five parts to discuss it,with the object of the woman education in zhejiang and the influence on women liberation.The first part is the preface, simply talking about the topic selection basis, writing significance and academic history review. The second part introduces the rise and development of learning before the revolution,analysing the development of women in zhejing since the opium war which lays the foundation for the development of women’s education. The third part states the development of woman education in zhejiang during1894——1913revolution,which discusses the reasons,the general situation and the characteristics of women education, and sums up that the development of woman education in zhejiang prepares for a profound impact on women liberation. The fourth part explains the influence of women education in zhejiang on women liberation during1911(1894——1913) revolution. At the same time,women education promotes and effects women liberation,but limits the women liberation movement because of age background, immaturity of their own development.The fifth part summaries that women education in zhejiang has a profound influnce on social progress and the transformation of China as well as contemporary women education,which has the certain enlightenment function for addressing the contemporary problems of women education.
