The social value of a person is reflected through the individual’s contribution to society andaltruism. Especially in China’s social, the fundamental goal of ethical enlightenment to theindividual is to build and establish a personal social responsibility and historical mission.Contemporary college students assume the heavy responsibility of socialist modernizationconstruction and shoulder the historical mission of revitalizing the country and nation. Therefore,whether they have or not and the strength of social responsibility related to the rise and fall of thefuture of our nation and country, more affecting the realization of the Chinese Dream.On the basis of domestic and foreign research status, this paper used the method ofliterature research, logical analysis and data analysis to study the cultivation of the contemporarycollege students’ social responsibility sense. By elaborating the concepts associated with thesocial responsibility sense of college students and analyzing the theory of nurturing of students’sense of social responsibility, this paper adequately expounded the theoretical basis and theobjectives and requirements of the cultivation of college student social responsibility. Throughthe analysis of the process and the way the formation of students ’sense of social responsibility,this paper laid the foundation for the analysis of the status of students’ social responsibility andcollege students’ social responsibility cultivation scheme. Analysis of the present situation ofcontemporary college students’ sense of social responsibility through the questionnaire datashows that the mainstream of college students sense of social responsibility is a positive, healthyand upward; However, there are some issues, mainly reflected in these aspects: weakconsciousness of responsibility, the understanding level of social responsibility is not profound;initiative of bearing social responsibility is not strong enough, sense of responsibility had notbeen steadfast enough and responsible behavior is not firm enough; college students’ sense ofsocial responsibility has a instability, practical and self-serving tendency; serious lacking of life,behavior and thanksgiving sense of responsibility. And this paper analyzes the reasons for theweakening of the contemporary college students’ sense of social responsibility from the threeaspects of social, educational, and college students. For instance, the mechanism of imbalance ofthe social environment, the weightlessness of Moral Education positioning, the college students’the social cognition staying at the surface, high dependence on the family, and inaccurate treattheir own social role.Finally, the paper targeted some suggested countermeasure: to enhance education of Chinese traditions culture, optimize the social environment, to carry out social practice activities,to improve education concepts of the family, to advocate the education of the family sense ofresponsibility which is scientific, reasonable and effective, to optimize the educationenvironment, to perfect education mode and to strengthen college students’ self education. Thesemeasures can be beneficial to strengthen the cultivation of contemporary college students’ senseof social responsibility, thus contributing to assuming responsibility and promoting the finalrealization of a harmonious society.
