The life of leisure citygradually entered the view of the city managers and residents that need of the city and leisure,while there is no doubt that the sports leisure as an important factor to support outbreak of leisuretime and as a high-level stage of city development for the direction of sports in the future, accordwith the law of city development. The sports are no longer a baptism of the competition, but areindispensable parts of the life. On the basis of this analysis, this paper attempts to reveal theessence of sports and leisure, explains the significance of building the sports and leisure citiesfrom the perspective of leisure study. As the sports and leisure of Xiamen is to be urbanizationconstrcution, thus paints a beautiful sports leisure city of Xiamen.The content of this article is mainly divided into the following three parts:1) With the research of leisure theory connotation, put forward the rationality of the widelyrecognized by the society sports recreational support as the major factor of the leisure time fromthe Angle of promoting social efficiency. Leisure as an important factor is the arrival of the era,heralding the leisure of city to be the mainstream of the urban development in the future. Thesports and leisure of city as a specialization and characterization being a higher level of city isalways full of vitality, is a more positive and healthy urban development pattern.2) Because of this article is based on the Xiamen as a specific research object and then asleisure sports present situation investigation and evaluation, analysis is full of specific datathough two-year field practice investigation giving the bright vitality to entities. There are threeaspects are as follows in the paper: Sports leisure degree of rich and available resources is thefoundation of sports leisure city construction; Facilities and the perfect degree of thecomprehensive decided the height and breadth of sport leisure city construction; Movement ofthe atmosphere of leisure and sports leisure industry developed degree bodes well for the futuredevelopment of the potential and levels.3) Many good experiences and reflections provided by the practice of the domestic existingsports leisure city for this article both inside and outside sports leisure city development modeand characteristics of a mature presents a beautiful blueprint for standard and direction based onthe comprehensive analysis of the above research, Xiamen movement out of the grand blueprintof leisure city adhere to the channel west bank event center city as the theme, the exhibitionindustry and the sports leisure tourism destination for bipedal, Xiamen area in Fujian and the four characteristic industrial area construction as the two wings, a strong sports goodsmanufacturing base for continuous impetus of new sports leisure city, at the same time, insist on,there is special, comprehensive drive principle, the full construction of Xiamen sports leisurecity.
